rynosback
If I pay for the app on Apple. Does it update from time to time? Does it give me a PW to view information on there website, using all of there features? Does it download all of the data or will I need wifi to use the app? I only know of this App because it was posted up on here. I see that is states"This app is optimized for iPhone 5". So will it be worse on my I phone 6 or I pad Air 2? soos
yeah there are regular updates to the app, and they are free. I don't know about access to the website, I always use the app. The icons and information for all the campgrounds and everything are always there, whether you have internet or not. The map itself will not populate Without internet UNLESS you open the app when you have wifi, and then move to no wifi. it will have downloaded the map while you had signal. Mine works great on my ipad, never had a issue on either the phone or the ipad. The only "problem" would become if you moved to android- you would have to re- buy the app for that platform. My husband moved from Apple to Samsung and has decided its worth buying for it- we use it so much. you'll love it. 4x4Camper
An alternative to the Allstays app is "The Ultimate US Public Campground Project" app. It shows a lot more public campgrounds, and is updated monthly (in my experience Allstays is updated yearly). The URL is https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ultimate-us-public-campground/id698323700?mt=8 Another big advantage of the Ultimate app is you can get support for it here on this forum. That's because I developed the app and I can answer your questions. Thanks! Bill
rynosback
Thanks I will look into it. My thought is that I will always be plugged in at a CG(full hook ups). I'm thinking staying a month at a time at each CG. 2015 Ram 3500 RC DRW CTD AISIN 410 rear 2016 Mobile Suites 38RSB3

4x4Camper
I'm offering an alternative to Allstays, but if you feel I am using it to promote and advertise my own product, please delete my posts or tell me to delete them. The OP said thanks, so the app seemed to fit in the discussion.
soos
An App that is about public campgrounds is in no way an alternative to Allstays. Doesn't mean your app is bad, but Allstays has much more information, for example: many public campgrounds: Federal, county, state, city, COE Elks/ Moose lodge campgrounds commercial campgrounds casino camping low clearance bridges major stores such as : Cabelas, Costco, Sam's club, Crackerbarrel, Walmart Camping World etc rest areas dump stations RV repair truck stops propane Although its not the only tool out there, IMHO its one of the best. Chris-n-Dennis
4X4, couple of questions: 1) is there an android version somewhere in the future? 2) any relation to L.E. ?? and no, I didn't think it was an advertisement, simply an outline and a link. I am still an AllStays fan but am always on the lookout for a new tool to put in the kit. vermilye
While AllStays Camp & RV does have more options, The Ultimate US Public Campground Project does a better job of covering non commercial campgrounds. I use both, and at the relative low cost, it is worth owning each of them. Another often recommended campground finder is RV Parky. All are available as apps for both iOS & Android. Since none of the campground finder apps include all campgrounds, it is worth having & using more than one.
