DamianF
Here is my 24 volt conversion of a Harbor Freight band saw for slow speed metal cutting. https://youtu.be/du4lbNXgThw This is done from my phone so hopefully the link works.
Exile
Video was good, i didn't get any audio. What motor was used? Nice w900. How is the turning radius?
DamianF
Exile, I deleted the audio due my truck running in the background just next to the cargo trailer that houses the saw. The motor/gearbox is an item used on full sized power wheelchairs. I don't know the exact hp rating, but it's a fairly good sized motor. The Kenworth turns as good as any old Kenworth should! But I've never driven a newer truck of any kind, but I'm used to it from a lot of commercial driving when an '83 would have been new. I know the new trucks turn amazingly tight. https://www.flickr.com/photos/83kw/8525362260/
Exile
Nice photos. Dont imagine the fiat does too well in all that snow. Learned to drive truck in a IH 79 cabover straight truck with about 280 wb. A pig to turn. Turns way wider than any semi at the bins. Old roadranger on it still shifts damn hard when its cold. Two hands to hit fourth. After that, everything else was easy to drive.
DamianF
Exile, actually the 850's do well for traction. Turning is another issue! Sounds like you did some farming, or farm work? Where? https://www.flickr.com/photos/83kw/8197224733/
