NEW GPS software

Recommended Posts

Android app is $18.95 a month, $51 a year or $98 for 3 years.

This could be a viable plan for RVers who stay on highways most of the time. There are bound to be places that cell service (and thus map updates) don't reach, however.

Anyone using this program, http://www.smarttruckroute.com/? Just wondering what you think about it? Does it have to down load the maps every time or are you storing it on your device?

Thanks

I've seen a smartroute for Rvs too. I'm hoping that waze comes out with a free RV edition soon.

Waze is a free app for droid or iphone. right now it's for cars and maybe for walking and bicycles

According to their website, the maps are in the Cloud and are not downloaded except for the very immediate area. http://www.smarttruckroute.com/Android-FAQ.htm

Good to know as I was not sure. I think I would rather have it all down loaded so that I would not go through as much data. And as you said, what if I have no signal...Thanks for letting me know.
