drivers seat

Does anyone have a pic of the rt side of the Volvo drivers seat without the upholstery. I'm looking at a different armrest and the supplier wants a pic so he can determine if their armrest has attachment points in the same area.

My arm is pointing at about 2 on the clock so the stock armrest provides no support when my hand rests on the roller trackball mouse next to the laptop

Thanks

Roger, I have never seen a seat in a Volvoo that did not have adjustable angles. Look for a little roller under the front of the armrest. You should be able to easily adjust angle with that.

My 2001 Volvo 610 armrests were adjustable as follows:

Lift armrest all the way up.

Put armrest all the way down and it will tilt downward.

Now you can ratchet it upward SLOWLY and each time it will come up about one inch or so....

Good luck,

So we are talking about laterally or horizontally are we? So with my elbow tucked tite to my side, forearm horizontal, fingers pointing straight out in front of me. My forearm rotates to the right...kind of like an excavator rotating on its tracks?? Just want to be sure. This is adjustment in the horizontal plane I'm after.

Part 2 of the question, is it worthwhile re upholstering stock seats?

Thanks

I've never seen a seat with an arm that rotated horizontally (side-to-side).....only vertically (up/down).

If I understand your question correctly, I am talking Horizontally...

With your elbow on the back of the armrest, and your fingers on the front, you would pivot off of your elbow raising your fingers holding the arm rest ..It will click up each time you raise it a small amount and go from level with the floor to an angle pointing upward toward the ceiling..
