jtl2 Posted April 8, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2015 The motors for the Schwintek are actually very small and located at the top of the slide. Mine had a wire pinched behind the metal trim when it was installed at the factory and shorted the wire. If the motor stops working and the override doesn't you can remove one screw and pop the unit off the drive then just push the slide in then slide the motor back in place to lock the slide in place. Well time to try again this weekend, got a call from the dealer that the trailer is ready to go and that the Schwintek motors were out of sync. No details as to why, but I will ask Friday. It's the DW's birthday so time to celebrate on Hartwell Lake in Anderson SC (about 75 miles from the dealer). Thanks to everyone for all the info, it is appreciated. They really add a lot of room to a RV and we couldn't be comfortable without one.
