Mobil-2
Android 4.4 will render your external sd card useless. You've been warned!!!
Chalkie
I have to ask. This is based on what? When you downgrade from 5.0? My Galaxy S4 has been running KitKat since the day I got it, well over a year now. 64gb SD card in it works just fine and always has.
Mobil-2
Kit Kat is not an upgrade from any android version. Google " sd card not working on kit kat" and all your questions will be answered. The point is don't change your version of android without researching this or you will be sorry. Chalkie
I will simply observe that KitKat DOES work just fine with SD cards. It does work differently than previous versions of Android and if you are not aware of these differences it will seem as though it is not working. You may have to update some apps or simply use others if the author has not updated the app to handle the differences. I invite you to read this article as it does a pretty good job of explaining the changes and why they were made. Bottom line, however, is that KitKat is not broken. http://www.androidcentral.com/kitkat-sdcard-changes#content
Darryl&Rita
Wasn't this an issue last year? I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. Dutch_12078
My LG34C "Fuel" Android phone came with KitKat installed. I rooted my phone and fixed the external SD card limitation using an app from the Play Store ("KitKat External SD Card Patch"). The majority of my add-on apps are now running from a 16GB external SD card.
