Kirk W
If you add a second a/c in the bedroom you should then also add a second thermostat there and move the one for the present a/c to the kitchen or living area so that they operate independently. You won't need as large a unit for the bedroom as you have in the living area. Our 36' motorhome had a 15000 btu unit in the living area and a unit of 9200 btu's which was plenty. Your RV may already be wired for the second a/c unit as most larger RVs are. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... jblscooper
Thing is, do you have ducting to the location for the bedroom unit? If not you will probably install a unit with the TS on the unit itself. I would put in a 13.5K unit. Jim

Kirk W
Sounds like it has everything for the second a/c already and that makes things far less difficult. If your a/c ducting is made like most RVs that I am familiar with, the ducts from both a/c units connect in the middle so that both units blow into the same main duct, but at opposite ends. Most air will be supplied by the a/c nearest to the outlets you look to. That way the a/c you now have can get some air to the bedroom and if you use only the bedroom a/c it can help to cool the living area. It is pretty common for the bedroom unit to be smaller than the living area, but just how small will depend upon the size of the RV. Since you now have only one unit, anything you put in will enhance your ability to cool and bigger might be better but it also costs more so use your best judgment. Kirk W
O don't know of any that are quiet when they are running. Some do shut down when temperature is reached while others keep the blower running. That is the only option that I know of. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
