bigredhdt
I have a VNL 630 with air ride front suspension. My air gauges get to 0 psi within 2 hours after stopping; however, there is still air in the rear suspension. Front suspension is empty. Is this a problem? Shallow Draft
I would soap up the front leveling valve and the lines going to the bags. That is a big enough leak it should be easier to find. there is not a lot of volume in the front bags so it can appear like there is a big leak. 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!! MrSeas
....remember the front air bags are on the "front" air tank and so is just about everything else air related except for the rear brakes. You may have a bunch of stuff leaking.

Jack Mayer
I've got one of those leak detectors, and it is worth the money if you are chasing lots of leaks. There are plenty of leaks you will never find without it. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. Jaydrvr
If you're down to zero in two hours, and you have decent hearing, you should be able to park in a quiet area, walk around the truck listening, and hear the worst leaks. Two hours is a pretty significant leak. If you start under the hood at the firewall by the steering shaft, you'll likely find the worst offenders. Jack Mayer
Chad, they work well, but they are not "magic". You may still have trouble finding everything. But they are FAR better than any other method that I know of. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. strawdog
The Inficon worked wonders for me, The truck was to the point it was leaking down in less that two hours. Turned the sniffer on and it went nuts, could hear a leak 20 ft away anywhere around the truck that both Renee and I couldn't hear without the tool. Keep turning down the sensitivity untill the leak is located. After fixing three large leaks and a couple small ones the truck leaks down to 60 after about 24 hours and stays there for a week or more. Leaving it at that for now, know where a small leak is under the truck but it is up over the driver side fuel tank behind a rats nest of cable runs etc. Will be a real bear to get to. Anyone near me is welcome to use the sniffer, Vern (wrknrvr) has already used it a couple of times on his truck.
