The Slabs

I visited the slabs and liked it. I would not want to stay long term but it is a viable community.

But like Burning Man and Quartzite which I also like I guess it is not for everyone.

We were on our way to Burning Man two years ago but discovered when we were almost there that no dogs are allowed on site. Had to change our plans.

I guess I would echo the same sentiments. I've only been through there twice over the years, but never opted to spend the night. The first time I was considering it, but walked a site I was considering and hit some "quicksand" (loosely covered black water pit) and gave up that idea real quick. The second time I spend the better part of the day to see some of the sights, but was well on my way down the road by 5. :P
