Five Wood
I recently used Eterna-bond tape as a patch on a bicycle tube. It seems to work great. Has anyone else tried this?
Bill Joyce
My first choice would be Rescue Tape, https://www.rescuetape.com/, since it costs less. But, if all you have is Eterna-bond, go ahead.
Alie&Jim's Carrilite
I use Eterna-Bond on the underbelly fabric. Sticks great and is waterproof.
Ray,IN
If it works it works. I prefer a $5 tube patch kit. I thought Eternabond was sticky on both sides?
Rif
I use Eterna-Bond on the underbelly fabric. Sticks great and is waterproof. After trying several other things I discovered this too. Works great. If it works it works. I prefer a $5 tube patch kit. I thought Eternabond was sticky on both sides? Nope. Eternabond is sticky on only one side. The other is a vinyl like surface that is impervious to water an most anything else.
Ray,IN
Thanks Rif, I've haven't used it yet. I waiting until it warms up enough to work. Right now 8* windy and snowing outside, only 30* in my garage and I don't want to spend the money to heat a 4,800 sq. ft. X 16' high garage to the required working temperature for application.
