Jack Mayer
Are there known problems with the truck? I don't know. IF it is the same one I looked at years ago then the only issue was the price. It was WAY over priced and they would not come down at all. Zero. Plus IMO it was not in great cosmetic condition - certainly not for the price they were asking. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. Like.......real bad. As in, I would not trust one word from them nor would I even trust the title. I would have to have so many things verified with the dmv and any lenders it would just plain ruin the fun of making the deal. I'm a work'n on it. Alie&Jim's Carrilite
The truck looked to be in decent shape. Needed a tank fairing adjusted to line up better, and definitely needed to be buffed out and waxed. The side boxes were unlocked with several pieces of leveling type wood planks in one side and 2 15" spare tires in the other side box. rickeieio
Well...they're a Certified Cummins Warranty Dealer so how bad can they be? Don't get me started. We had a very unsatisfactory experience with a "factory Cummins dealer" in Alaska. Mucho $$$ and a week (7 days) lost and they did not fix the problem. HERO Maker
I'm pretty sure that's the same truck that was there in 2009! It has a Larry Herrin bed on it, and that is the strongest point about the truck! It is a 670, and no offense intended, but if you are going to have that truck height, then you should be looking at the 770 or 780. The price has come down, but now it's getting to the point of needing all new tires around it, even if they were new when I first saw it, and they weren't. Jack Mayer
If that is the same truck, both Rocky and I were pretty unimpressed when we looked at it. For me, "unimpressed" is being kind. Rocky can speak for himself. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. spindrift
Is the only difference between the 670 and the 770/780 the depth of the sleeper? Wheelbase? Other differences? 2012 F350 KR CC DRW w/ some stuff 2019 Arctic Fox 32-5MCindy and Tom, Kasey and Maggie (our Newfie and Berner) Oh...I forgot the five kids. Phil D
Beyond the difference in sleeper length, the sleeper is also a few inches wider on the 770/780 models. Wheelbase isn't model specific, but can vary from truck to truck. Obviously the 770/780 models will require 11" more wheelbase than comparable 610/630/660/670 models for all of the dimensions between the back of the cab and the end of the frame to be the same. Alie&Jim's Carrilite
All I did was a walk- around on a cloudy day. From eyeballing it on the ground, it looked "decent" on the outside, but I didn't open any doors beyond the 2 on the bed. Didn't open the hood, storage doors, cab doors, look under it, or even step up on the steps to peer inside. It doesn't look like the bed is long enough to carry a Smart, and the wheelbase looks like it is singled long. If the truck has been there since 2009, then I suspect that the owner has it on consignment and doesn't want to sell it, or works at/for the dealership and is waiting for the sucker of the day. Alie&Jim's Carrilite
They want $49750..... But if I had to redo the bed then I would drop to 30 or so as an offer. Dependent of course on a clean VIS and dyno, new tires, everything wrong fixed, etc. This is considering I paid 19k for the flamin' 610 and need to put on tires, do the front end work- king pins, etc, and have the bed rebuilt to accommodate a smart car. But I have a straight 10 sp trans, and the baby Cummins M-11 with 450k on it.
