I loved the Mazda 5 as a potential toad when I looked at them but when I looked, even with a manual transmission Mazda refused to declare them flat towable. There was seemingly no good reason as they shared the same manual as a Ford Focus which is declared flat towable, but Mazda apparently was unwilling to take on the minimal risk.

@JHayes

The car is located in La Crosse, WI.

@BoonDocks - Yes, I don't know why Mazda wouldn't just come out and say it was flat towable, but yes - with all of the research I did, I found it to have the same components as other flat towable cars - so after that, I was pretty comfortable with it.

Last year we towed it approx 3k miles and had no trouble at all. It tracked and towed really well, and when we were at our destination, it was nice to have a decent size vehicle we could tool around in.
