blz450
We're stopping in Langtry, TX for an overnight on our way to Big Bend specifically to see the Judge Roy Bean display. I see on RV park reviews that there is an RV park but for the life of me I can't figure out where it is. I've looked on google maps street view and satellite pictures but don't see anything that looks like an rv park. I know it is supposed be across from the visitor center. Is it behind the café? Thanks in advance for any help.
Newt
Why not call (432) 291-3227 and ask how to get there. Newt

Kevin H
If you see the Judge Roy Bean Visitor Center - the campground is catty-corner to the south east. It is rough at best. There are a bunch of parks on the west side of Del Rio. Also, there is one in Comstock - 30 miles west of Del Rio. And there is Seminole Canyon State Park - 10 miles west of Comstock and 18 miles east of Langtry. My choice would be Seminole Canyon State Park, but I am biased because I volunteer there. blz450
Thank you so much for the replies. I have tried calling the phone number several times but no one answers. I will check out those other parks.
Al F
Stop at Seminole Canyon SP and tour the Pictographs on a Wed-Sat of the week. Stop by Langtry on your way toward BB. Then head on to Sanderson and stay at Canyons RV Park http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/texas/sanderson%C2'> The price for Canyons is only a little higher than the place at Langtry, but it is much, much nicer. When you stop at the Visitor Center in Langtry, be sure to allow time to take the 1/4 nature trail. They have ALL the desert plants for the Chihuahuan Desert on display and identified. blz450
We did stop in Langtry to see the Judge Roy Bean museum and it was well worth it. The RV park in Langtry was not very appealing so, like Al Florida suggested, we went on up to Sanderson to Canyons RV park.. A much better place to spend the night. Thank you all. rv-voyager
I like that area and have been there several times. Old Judge Roy Bean what a colorful character? He was a politician ahead of his time. Law west of the Pecos, yet when he died they buried him in Del Rio, east of the Pecos.
