Striper Posted January 17, 2015 Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 Just an FYI for anyone traveling to Whidbey Island over the next 2+ years. The City of Oak Harbor is closing their RV Park in April of 2015. It is to remain closed for approx 2 and 1\2 years or until sometime in 2018. It is being closed so it can be used as a dumping site for dirt out of the new Sewage Treatment Plant they are building. They say they will upgrade the park when it reopens, but even that is up in the air at the current time. So those of you that had mentioned the Whidbey Island area for this summer best be making sure they have confirmed reservations elsewhere.
