skp51443
No Phoenix NASCAR HOP? We have a nice hill with cactus and snakes! :-) With the new race format for the championship that Charlotte event is going to be a great race. The one last weekend was some of the best racing they have had this year as the championship slots get whittled down and tempers fray. The folks out of the championship are in a "nothing left to lose" mode since they either win the race or don't with no risk of hurting their standings much if they crash out. Head Out - HOP
Stanley, I was at the Texas Motor Speedway this last weekend and saw the altercation on "Big Hoss", the mega-tron. The crowd went wild when they saw it on "Big Hoss", which is suppose to be bigger than Jerry's. Did you see the penalty handed down by NASCAR? skp51443
If it wasn't NASCAR I'd be scratching my head over just penalizing the crew and chiefs while skipping the drivers. If you get a chance try one of these and let me know what we are missing. http://foodaroundthetrack.com/?p=2770 Big Hog Cheddar Dog: First rule of computer consulting: Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day. bobsallyh
Stanley, the way FRANCECAR has the "Chase" set up, it is a recipe for just what happened at Texas Sunday. Not to mention that Rick Hendrick is going to pick up the crew fines. http://www.reviewjournal.com/columns-blogs/ed-graney/fisticuffs-might-be-perfect-solution-nascar-s-dwindling-popularity

JC and Angie
Lisa. I will let you know tomorrow if Angie and I can make this. Can we fit? Need about 75 feet with the truck, about 50 feet with just the trailer and would need to store the truck. Thanks for the reminder. JC 2009 Volvo 780. Head Out - HOP
Hi JC and Angie, Here’s what I found out…The sites are 30x50 back-ins. Most customers back their trailer and motorhome in side by side. This leaves plenty of room for the truck to be parked perpendicular in the front of site. If you prefer to park your trailer in a storage area, the campground will be able to accommodate you for no extra charge. Safe travels! JC and Angie
Lisa We just signed up for the event and are looking forward to the week. I'll have to store my truck in the storage area after we park the trailer. Thanks JC 2009 Volvo 780. bobsallyh
Looking in the new Escapees Magazine, May/June issue at the Charlotte Hop, I hope the folks already signed up and prospective signers realize they will be watching NASCAR Stock(well maybe not so stock) Cars, not the sporty cars pictured in the photo. Why NASCAR Media.com would give a sporty car picture for Charlotte is unreal!
newadventurers
Hello, We are rather new to Escapees and fulltiming, and loving it. My husband and I are avid NASCAR fans. How often are there HOPS to the races please? Is it an annual thing or does it depend on attendance? Head Out - HOP
Hi Terry and Lindsey! Thanks for your post. We don’t have NASCAR HOPs (Head Out Program) very often, since they are expensive. We did have a good turnout for this one and we’ll be going again in 2017. Put it on your calendar and come go with us! To view upcoming HOPs, see: https://www.escapees.com/fun/hops There are a few sites left for the Rose Parade HOP and the Balloon Fiesta HOP. If they peak your interest, add those to your bucket list and come go with us. You’ll have a wonderful time! Thanks again for your post!
