The Few Posted August 3, 2015 Report Share Posted August 3, 2015 Fuel averaged 2.69/gal for 280 gals so fuel cost was about $800. Just filled up at Kroger with fuel points and paid $1.79/ gal for 35 gals. Diesel around here running $2.38 so if it holds will be a cheaper trip this year. I do not run my tanks to empty. Will top off if we need a break or we see cheap fuel. I never go below 1/4 tank showing on gauge and when it gets that low I usually stick check at our rest stop. BTW with campsites, food, fuel we spent two weeks with our friends at the National and spent less than $100/day. Last time we spent night at Hampton Inn paid $104 for the night and still had to buy our meals. This is still a cheaper way to vacation, IF you don't have mechanical issues. On the way up from Florida, we plan to visit kids and take in the Mizzou Homecoming game where sadly for them they're hosting the Gators. It'll be a great start to what I expect to be another memorable Rally week. Also, several of you have emailed Gail asking if we have received your registration yet. The short answer is "probably". We have been on the road for several weeks. I can read PDF files on other web sites, I can read them when they are sent to me in emails, just in case the PDF reader I have on the computer is out dated, I down loaded the one in the link you sent, still no joy. I am using a Mac and use Firefox as my browser and have no problems with it, I really don't want anything to do with google chrome, THANKS for trying to help.
