September 2 – 8, 2018 Located on the Gold Medal trout waters of the Rio Grande River and surrounded by national forests, South Fork, Colorado, is nestled comfortably in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and is a perfect climate for outdoor events. Days will be filled with off-road exploration and sight-seeing in the most picturesque areas of Colorado. In the evenings, relax by the campfire and reflect on the day of adventures with your fellow HOP attendees. Stephen Krasovetz, a Texas Master Naturalist and HOP Host, will share his knowledge about the beneficial management of natural resources in the South Fork, Colorado area. Be sure to bring your comfortable walking shoes and camera for the breathtaking panoramic views of the sunrises and sunsets.   2. Outdoor Adventure HOP Howling with the Wolves August 11 – 16, 2018 Enjoy an amazing wilderness experience beyond what you can ever imagine! Escapees has designed a special package just for you. No RVs are needed for this HOP, as we go Howling with the Wolves! Minnesota is known as the gateway to the legendary wilderness Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and the beautiful lakes are teaming with bass, walleye and pike, just to name a few. The BWCA is part of the Superior National Forest, in Minnesota, along the Canadian border, which makes for one of the greatest in outdoor adventures. The multitude of lakes and green lush pine forests allows for the abundance of wildlife: birds, game, fish and wildflowers, and the best way to explore this area is by canoe. So, you’ll want to remember to bring your binoculars! To kick off this incredible adventure, is a night’s stay in the beautiful, rustic cottages located on the “base camp” premises. The next morning, enjoy a delightful breakfast; afterward, you will canoe to the campground that will be called home for the next three nights. While camping, you can enjoy hiking, fishing, birding, stargazing, campfires, wildlife viewing, photography and canoe paddling, on this adventure in the Boundary Waters wilderness preserve.   3. Moab Outdoor Adventure HOP May 22 - 27, 2017 HOP Hosts: Steve & Kay Krasovetz Co-hosts: Ed & Sandy Kruty If you love outdoor adventure, then this HOP is for you! Moab, Utah is a perfect climate for outdoor events and Escapees has an exciting, action-packed outdoor adventure awaiting your arrival. Several days will be filled with 4x4 runs while exploring the beautiful Moab area with your HOP hosts. An all-day rafting trip will bring you fun and adventure, as you experience breathtaking views of the canyon scenery. The 14-mile trip will stop midway for lunch along the riverbank as a welcomed and enjoyable break. You will also have time to swim on this trip. After rafting, take time to wander through downtown Moab to see the great selection of shops, restaurants, and friendly hospitality. On the last day of the HOP, you will experience a leisurely cruise up the river in a wide-opened boat and learn about the formations of majestic red rock cliffs that surround you, while sipping a glass of complimentary wine, beer, or soft drink. Countless photo opportunities will be available all along the route. At a shady spot near a natural acoustic cliff wall, the captain will turn off the boat engine so you can enjoy live Western music. Be in awe of the stunning sunsets and sunrises on this beautiful southern coastal island, which is best known for its spectacular beauty, historical buildings, and relics from the Civil War. Picture curtesy of Mahlon Stacy, SKP #82757 See the marsh grasslands the confederate soldier Sidney Lanier wrote about when he penned the famous poem, “The Marshes of Glynn.” While on these beautiful waterways, you will travel under the Sidney Lanier cable bridge, the longest-spanning bridge in Georgia, and learn about the area’s history when you board aspacious passenger boat and enjoy a fully narrated historic Brunswick sightseeing and dolphin tour.
