  1. I have a recommendation for any RV'ers visiting Livingston who need to get their inspection done. This place will inspect vehicles, motorhomes, towed trailers, and fifth wheels. There is ample room in front of their shop to maneuver your rig (unlike a couple of the other local inspection places). The fellow who did my inspection was knowledgable about travelers who may be showing up to get their inspection done well after they got their registration (unlike another place that told me I didn't have to get inspected at all). Soda's Auto Repair 936-563-4234 6709 Highway 190 If you are coming from Livingston, head east on 190. Soda's is 6.2 miles after the intersection of 190 and 146. It will be on your left as you near the top of a hill and is across from a cell tower.
  2. Good day. I am looking for 1 RV owner in Southeast Texas (preferably the Houston area) who would like a no cost, in-depth NRVIA “Essential Plus” inspection of their Motor Home. Why am I offering this no-cost inspection? I am becoming certified as an RV Inspector by the NRVIA - National RV Inspection Association. During the inspection, up to 352 line items are checked on a towable and up to 367 items are checked on motor home. As a part of the advance training I attended recently, we each inspected a towable RV. To complete my training, I must also perform an inspection of a motor home. My family and I have been RV-ing for 20+ years. I know first-hand some of the “opportunities” RV enthusiasts are challenged to resolve. For a buyer, an in-depth RV inspection provides facts to make an informed “go/no-go” purchase decision. It greatly enhances the probability the buyer will have the kind of RV experience they were expecting / hoping for. For a seller, an indepth RV inspection helps emphasize the value to the buyer and potentially minimize the sellers liability. For a current owner not looking to sell, the biggest benefit is piece of mind about the current condition of your RV, NRVIA requirements are that I complete the motor home inspection by the end of this week, April 17. Would you be open to having a cup of coffee to meet me and to discuss what the inspection would entail? Did I mention that this will not cost you anything? I am also able to provide telephone numbers and names of people with NRVIA who can vouch for my quest to become a top-notch RV Inspector. Please call me at 832-493-3540. 3. Howdy, Has anyone here ever worked or heard about those guys? RV Inspection Connection. They seem to be some kind of association, affiliated with that other organization: The National RV Inspectors Association (NRVIA) I heard about them both in this article: http://rvlife.com/rv-inspections/ Cheers, -- Vall.
  4. Hi All, I have zoned in on a truck that I am interested in. As a next step, I would like to hire an inspection service. Unfortunately, the ones on the Heavy Haulers RV Resource Guide don't seem to be working out for me... National Truck Protection & Inspection Co. Inc. - Submitted an inquiry. Waiting to hear back. VIP Inspection Services - Out of business? Truck Remarketing Services Inc. - Quoted me $450 but can't get to me for 5-7 days. Any other services out there that I should try contacting? EDIT: I also found an advert for National Inspection Services on TruckertoTrucker.com. I submitted an inquiry to them and am waiting to hear back.
  5. I got the cash in the bank from my home sale and will be shopping in the Phoenix area for a used class A (gas) by owner, beginning Friday June 5th. Can anyone recommend a good company or technician to check out whatever unit I find?
