  1. Moab Outdoor Adventure HOP (Head Out Program) May 29 – June 3, 2019 If you love outdoor adventure, then this HOP is for you! Moab, Utah is a perfect climate for outdoor events and Escapees has an exciting, action-packed outdoor adventure awaiting your arrival. Several days will be filled with 4x4 runs, while exploring the beautiful Moab area with your HOP hosts. An all-day rafting trip will bring you fun and adventure, as you experience breathtaking views of the canyon scenery. The 14-mile trip will stop midway for lunch along the riverbank, as a welcomed and enjoyable break. You will also have time to go for a swim on this trip. After rafting, take time to wander through downtown Moab to see the great selection of shops, restaurants, galleries and friendly hospitality. During the HOP, you will have access to a Dinosaur Tracks Museum, with interactive technology, as well as exhibits dedicated to the formation of tracks and the stories they tell us! See a theater movie depicting evolutionary theories, which will take you back to the time of dinosaurs. At the Prehistoric Aquarium, explore the ancient sea creatures on 3D virtual screens, as if you were there in person. Be prepared as you come face to face with an ancient giant shark. This realistic 5D experience is sure to be one of your favorites! On the last day of the HOP, you will experience a leisurely cruise up the river, in a wide-open boat and learn about the formations of the majestic red rock cliffs that surround you, while sipping a glass of complimentary wine, beer, or soft drink. Countless photo opportunities will be available all along the route. At a shady spot near a natural acoustic cliff wall, the captain will turn off the boat engine so you can enjoy live Western music. But the entertainment won’t stop there. Back at the private dock, a farewell dinner will await you. Rain or Shine - Package Includes: · 5 nights with full hookups at a nice RV park · Information session explaining the Moab area - presented by a Texas Master Naturalist. · Enjoyable exploration of the area on guided Jeep or 4x4 runs. · Please bring high clearance vehicles, such as four-wheel drive vehicles or Jeeps. No ATVS, please. Your guided runs will enter one location and exit another. There will not be a way to trailer in & out an ATV. · Entrance to all-day river rafting. Includes professional tour guides and a nice lunch on the banks of the river. Leisure Rivers, Class II and possible Class III, depends on spring run-off. 6 named rapids included. Payment options When registering for a land HOP, you may pay half upon registration and can then make monthly payments. The balance is due 60 days prior to the event. Ask the HOP department about this payment option. Note: Non-Escapees members are welcome to attend, too! We’d love to have you. There is a $50.00 charge for nonmembers on all land HOPs. If you or a family member has a pre-existing medical condition, you might consider purchasing cancellation insurance as well. This insurance can also help with covering other unexpected emergencies while on the trip.
