  1. I have a class c with no slide outs. I have a ladder to climb into the over head bunk which works fine except I can’t use it when the couch is folded out to make a bed. How do you then get in and out of the bunk?
  2. I have no explanation, nor did my postmaster. I showed him the envelopes and there was nothing on them about not forwarding.
  3. Someone asked if we eventually got our mail. We don't know for sure if we got it all. I was working at a fundraiser for Rotary two weeks after getting home and my banker knew I was going to be there and brought with him my 1099s, which had been returned to them. My employer called to let me know that he had gotten my W-2 back. A couple of medical bills we found out about when they sent "Second Notices". We have no family in town to pick up our mail so I will probably ask a neighbor to pick it up each day and then every couple of days call us and discuss what has arrived over the phone. We can then decide on what needs to be forwarded. I hate to have to ask him to do that but I don't see a trustworthy alternative. We are not gone long enough or often enough to use a mail service.
  4. We spent a month last winter in Florida. We had the USPS forward our mail to our address at the RV park. Even though we completed the forwarding request well in advance and had confirmation of our forwarding request being received, it was almost two weeks before we received any mail in Florida. Then upon returning home we learned that they did not forward any financial Mail, such as 1099s, or mail from medical facilities. In fussing at my local postmaster, he had no explanation as to why this happened other than they will not forward something that is marked "Do not forward". I get that. They send such Mail back. I showed him that that there was no such marking on any of the envelopes. He had no explanation. Has anybody run into this? Im in a quandary as to what to do this winter season.
  5. As the original poster I have learned a lot about the whole subject. My TS is quite old and as far as I know works properly, i.e. if the generator is started, I have power. If the generator is not running and I plug into shore power, I have power. I did not know that the TS is designed to default to the generator. I was concerned about what would happen if the rig was plugged into 120 volt shore power and the generator was started. It seemed to me that if the TS was not working properly there would be 120 volts coming in from two sources which I thought could fry everything in the rig. Apparently this would only happen if the contacts had been welded together because of a large load. Thanks.
  6. I have read the posts and can't find anything on this topic. Is there a way to test to see if an automatic transfer switch is working properly without running the generator and plugging the coach in and hoping you don't fry everything?
