  1. Depends on when you want to go.

If you're planning on going within the next few weeks, your chance of snow is pretty low. If you're planning on going in December or January, your chance of snow increases.

  2. We boondock almost exclusively and never run any electrical appliance from our inverter.  If we need to use an electrical appliance, we'll turn on the generator (typically only the microwave plus occasionally using clippers to groom the dog or cut my hair).  We spend the winter near Yuma and usually only have to turn on the furnace for a short time in the morning to take the chill off.  It's a rare day when we have to run the furnace at any other time during the day.  We do not use an electric heater.

I don't know what RV you have, but keep in mind that running the furnace probably also sends heat to the basement keeping it above freezing (never been a problem near Yuma).  If you were to use an electric heater exclusively, no heat would go to your basement unless you made separate arrangements to heat the basement.

  3. Sorry to *hear* that you had to go through all that!  It doesn't sound fun, but, hopefully, it'll help your hearing.

I just got my first pair of hearing aids this week, something I should have done years ago.  Today is my 3rd day using them and so far, so good.  Other than hearing loss, I haven't had any other problems with my ears (knock on wood).

This forum is dominated by old folks.  That doesn't mean that the poll is representative of the total members.  It's just that us old folks have more time to participate (and answer polls).

That, and younger people are probably on other sites such as Facebook.

Are memberships removed after a period of time due to lack of participation?

    No.

Does anyone know how many total members there are?

    Forum members or Escapees members?

  5. On the list of connected devices on my Inseego M2000, my laptop and my phone show up with a recognizable name.  However, the Fire Stick, my husband's phone and tablet show up as "unknown."  I've gone into my husband's phone and tablet to change the name, but the M2000 is still showing them as "unknown."  I haven't been able to find a way to change the name -- going to the my.mifi website and changing the name of the device there doesn't work because there's no way of saving the name change (that I've found, anyway) and it just goes back to saying "unknown."

While it's not a huge deal, I'd like to be able to see each individual connected device by name.  Does anyone know of a way to do this, or am I just SOL?

Has anyone taken the sim out of a Visible phone and put it in an LTE router?

Not in a router, but I did take the sim out of my Visible phone and put it in my tablet just as an experiment to see whether I could stream using Visible's unlimited data on a larger screen.  It worked just fine, but I didn't leave it in the tablet for any length of time, so don't know if I would eventually have received some type of warning from Visible.

  7. Visible has 2 new plans -- Visible for $30/mo and Visible+ for $45/mo.  According to my chat with a representative, the Party Plan will no longer be available to new accounts or for those who change from the original plan to one of these two new plans.

Here's the page where you can see the differences between the two plans:

Visible Unlimited Phone Plans | No Annual Contract

I'm currently paying $25/mo on a Party Pay plan and I'm wondering whether or not it's worthwhile to up my monthly payment by $20 to go with the Visible+ plan just to add the 5G Ultra Wideband.  The unlimited roaming in Mexico and Canada as well as the international calling and texting isn't of interest to me.

    Thoughts?
