Hi Everyone. Im Thomas. Just bought a higher mileage(295k) 2005 Freightliner M2 Sportchassis with the cat c7. I know the miles are high but it was a fairly good deal and it wont get a ton of use(under 5k miles a year). It made the 9 hour drive, 500+ miles, home without a hiccup luckily but of course some issues werent disclosed to me before flying up. When I got there to pick it up the seller said the cruise control doesnt work and if you do try it the check engine light flashes, I did try it and that is what happened, shut off and restart and flashing check engine light stopped. Also that the rear bags will deflate overnight. While driving home I noticed the air gauge keep going from about 125 psi down to 100 psi and fill back up about every 3 minutes/3 miles while on the highway. I do hear alot of air leaking after parking and turning off the truck and dont think that is normal. If sitting awhile like overnight the air gauge shows barely any pressure when first starting up. Brought it to a local shop and they couldnt find a leak. Their bigger truck mechanic was and will be out on vacation for the next week but they did scan the truck for me for now, had alot of codes. Im not sure if those codes werent cleared after some repairs the truck had last week or are still things that need attention. Previous owner couldnt verify. Last week the previous owner per the receipt replaced the Fuel Rail Sensor and "R&R Oil Manifold-Oring-Power steering gasket". Not sure if any codes to that were cleared but these are the codes that came up yesterday at my shop
102-7 Boost Pressure Not Responding
231-12 SAE J1939 Device Not Responding
102-1 Low Boost Pressure (25)
94-11 Low Cranking Fuel Pressure (63)
108-3 Barometric Pressure (BP) Voltage high (26)
Any tips of what these codes could mean? Any ideas on the cruise control? How bad does the air leak sound? this is the first bigger truck ive had so not sure what is normal and what isnt with the air. I am upgrading from a Ram 2500.
