  1. Haha! That's a good one - it gave me anxiety just reading that. I'm definitely on your husband's side about leaving keys in the ignition though!
  2. I don't know that you'll necessarily need insurance for a storage unit - maybe different if you're talking about an RV or something of high value, but most of them offer some basic form of insurance from my understanding and experience. For example here https://threemovers.com/how-to-choose-a-storage-unit/ it mentions that insurance is included on a basic level and you can pay more if you feel you need a higher level of coverage. If you feel you need it go for it obviouisly, but it's probably not necessary beyond what's offered by the storage facility in 99% of cases.
  3. Can big mature trees survive in Las Vegas? Maybe just palms? I've only been a couple times, but I don't recall seeing much in the way of shade. Then again, I wasn't there with an RV at the time.
  4. Oh of course! I assumed you were contract - my mistake.
  5. I wouldn't think it would be too much of an issue if you're already working remotely, at least given that you're still able to get the work done and be contacted when needed - I'd definitely make reliable internet a priority, which you've obviously considered. Good to think about it from your employers perspective though. I might be inclined to describe it as a shorter term vacation at first, rather than admitting to being on the road full time. Then you can at least point to some evidence that you're still able to do the job just fine from that experience and explain that it's become a full time thing. Hope it all works out! sounds like a great way to live.
  6. And what are they saying today? Gas prices have gotten so ridiculous.
  7. Probably not, be it's at least reassuring that we're moving more strongly in that direction. With all the money being lobbied on behalf of oil companies, I'm surprised we've gotten this far.
