  1. Nothing to offer as to your question, but nice tractor! I just got off a company 2016 Volvo VN670 12 speed auto myself. Was living in it full time before retiring. I was pulling reefers in Western 11 mainly. My personal pickup sat for 4.5 years in the company yard, quite an adjustment going back to 4 wheeling after 12+ years of trucking.
  2. Hi everyone, Will here. Just want to say hi, fill you in on my situation and ask a few questions. I just retired from OTR trucking (mostly on the West coast) and moved back to the Conroe/Spring area of Texas to be closer to my kids/grandkids. I have been renting a real nice garage apt for a few weeks, but will have to move out 8/25. I have a 2008 Tacoma with a fiberglass slide in shell https://www.angelfire.com/tx/nale/durashell.html which has been repurposed into a camper. It's pretty much ready to go with: a fridge, microwave, a/c in the back, twin memory foam mattress, solar & Honda generators, (solar panel to be ordered soon) water container ect. I have the funds to buy a trailer so I can be more comfortable. I want to stay in this area and stay at a campground or on land, but I'm finding out that campgrounds or "resorts" have definite ideas about what is allowed and my rig doesn't fit that criteria. I'm willing to do the following: stay in a campground, buy a small unrestricted lot, dry camp on someone's land. I'm finding that the state parks are low on availability for long term. I plan to divide my time here in the US and in the Philippines where I have a house & wife. Any suggestions how I can solve this campground problem or am I overthinking it? I really don't want to stay in a stranger's house, or with family (don't want to be THAT guy, lol) or get tied up in an apt rental. Thanks! Will
