  1. Instead of stopping Amarillo, stop just north in Dumas at City Park. 50 amp hook up on big parking lot FREE for one night. Just west of US 287 on US 87
  2. Dutch, I agree with you on the fridge. But they usually start on a smaller generator than will start an A/C. And the compressors run for years and years. My coach is 50 amp so it does not apply to me no matter how wonderful it might be.
  3. Well Kirk, what besides the A/C on a 30 amp rv needs a soft start? A $300 device will handle the A/C, so why do you need a $600 device? My understanding is resistive loads such as the toaster oven do no have a surge current common to inductive loads such as the compressor of the A/C.
  4. Kirk, This is a 30 amp device for the sale price of $600. For that amount of money, I can purchase two soft starts specific for the A/Cs which is what the soft start is needed for. That way my 50 amp coach is covered. So, no deal for me.
  5. Cory, Here in Baytown, TX, TA retail is $5.32. Purchase price with TSD fuel card is $4.32. If you need a card, contact me jrlegett at gmail.com
  6. The TSD Openroads diesel discount in Baytown, TX, is $0.77 right now.
  7. Glenn, The formula for determining the watt rating of a device in the volts times the current draw, ie amps. So volts- amps (VA) is the same as Watts. So, 12 volts with 100 amp draw is 1200 watts. Or 120 volts with a 10 amp draw is 1200 watts. Hope this helps you Sir.
  8. TSD Logistics, EFS card price at South Dallas TA on 12/08/21 is $2.802.
  9. I do not purchase gas at all so that part is not for me. I do not purchase diesel every month but would have to pay the fee anyway. I had a 40 foot and now 42 foot diesel motorhome. Getting into truck stops is very easy vs car stations with truck pumps. So not for me.
  10. For those wanting to purchase Michelin or BF Goodrich tires, call Dave Ward of National Tire Concierge Service. Dave is a Michelin reseller whose prices are much less than FMCA. He calls Michelin direct to source tires and can find tires dealers can not. Plus, tires through Dave have a 3 year wheel and tire warranty. He also signs you up to the free Michelin On-Call, a 24/7 road side assistance program that when called will have a tire of your size, at the NTCS price at your coach in about 2 hours normally. Dave's price for a tire is your cost for the tire including FET. He ships the tire(s) to a dealer close to your location in the USA. The dealer installs them and wishes you a fine day. The next business day, Michelin charges the credit card you registered with Dave for the tire plus state sales tax where you are and $42 to $45 dollars per tire for the install. You did not pay the dealer who installed them. So, if Michelin or BF Goodrich is your choice, call Dave or Wendy Ward at 32 one 6 zero 7 2265 or 32 one 7 four 7 8465. Dave put tires on my motorhome, SRX tow car and Prius. The tires for my Prius were not in Houston area but were shipped in from California. Tell Dave, Rudy said Hi.
  11. Randy, when you purchase fuel with the EFS card from TSD Logistics, you owe the fuel stop nothing. TSD owes the money and to keep its EFS account, it will pay the bill. Now you owe TSD. If you do not pay, the number is a way to chase you down. The ladies I know at TSD have shared that if you do not trust them with your number, they do not trust you with their card. They have issued over 34,000 cards to RVers and there are no reports of folks having money issues wth TSD. Do what you think is best for yourself. Very many others are saving lots of money on their diesel purchases.
  12. Do not know where you have been Kevin, but at Houston TA, today you save 71 cents per gallon with a 65 cent transaction fee. So, take on 125 gallons, save $88.88 dollars off posted cash price, minus $0.65, minus $8.88 equals saving $79.35. So works for me just fine.
  13. A 10 to 20 minute phone call is too much writing and includes no additional info based on feedback from you. All the best in your search.
  14. Glenn, I sent you a message with my phone number. Did you not receive that message?
  15. Wtih the EFS driver fuel card available to RV owners from TSD Logistics in Texarkana, TX, and fueling at a TA or Petro truck stop, the price of diesel in Colorado varies from $1.74 to $1.84 depending on where you fuel.
  16. Oh my, sorry to hear that Glenn. They have squared away several straight axle motorhomes that I know of. Have you considered calling them to seek a solution? Sure do wish you well solving the situation.
  17. Big Truck Alignment in Huntington, TX, 9 miles down Hwy 69 from Lufkin does the very best alignment on solid steer axle trucks. Glenn and his brother know their stuff about truck alignment and then some. They do a great job on my solid steer axle motorhome. Contact Glenn Haskins at 9 three 6 4 six 5 0701
  18. Blues, Why care who caused the cut off of TSD at Pilot/FlyingJ. Just across the freeway or down a little, you can, today, save over 100 dollars per 100 gallons of diesel. It is your money or Pilot/FlyingJ"s money. GoodSam and Pilot/FlyingJ is not a good deal. Do what makes you happy.
  19. Having had the priviledge of Meeting Joy Hanson, COO of TSD, she shard Loves has called to tell TSD how happy they are to have motorhome fueling there now. Don"t think they or now the discount matching TA/Petro will drop them anytime soon.
  20. Kirk, The TSD Logistics EFS diesel card available to RVers has diesel in the Dallas area from $1.25 to $1.29.
  21. Gary, the TSD card purchases diesel at the posted cash price at any truck pump in the USA. But only listed truck stops provide a discount to the posted cash price. Pilot/Flying J was required by contract with GoodSam to not offer a discount to motorhomes not using the GoodSam card. So, there is no discount at Pilot/FlyingJ just as there is no discount a countless small truck stops with truck pumps. Hope this helps.
  22. Kirk, To get the real answer to your concern, call Gina Leeper, head of the fuel program. She will give you the straight answer. 903/831-8941 direct to her desk, Mon to Fri. Will probably need to leave a voice mail for her to reurn your call. My bet is she says happy to have you as a card holder. Your truck filler neck needs to be bigger than a car filler neck as card only good at a truck diesel pump. So no go at Bucc-ees for instance. Post her reply, please Sir. Merry Christmas to you all
  23. Kirk, I know the ladies that run the fuel program at TSD Logistics. They share that Loves has called them to say how pleased Loves is with the discount offered to motorhome owners. Loves gets add-on sales without any additional accounts to deal with. One discount account to TSD and thousands of motorhome owners benefit and no extra paperwork for Loves. This is a driver's card, so if you stop at any truck pump other than the stated truck stops, you pay the posted cash price, no discount. Since there is no savings, there is no fee. 10% of zero savings is $0. But why stop where there is no discount, unless you are desparate for diesel, when Loves is just down the road. TA/Petro is about 10 cents per gallon less than Loves. Pilot/Flying J is starting to offer mcuh better that the original 10 cents per gallon that they started with. Today in Baytown the discount is $0.1487 per gallon at a purchase price of $2.5503. Across the street at Loves the purchase price is $2.4736. Several weeks ago the Loves Baytown was at $2.38, diesel is up right now. TSD gets extra diesel volumn to help discount negotaions with truck stops, Loves gets extra motorhome business they have been missing and motorhome owners get serious diesel discounts. Everyone wins.
  24. Clay, I too am perplexed you are having problems with the mail service. For years I have changed my mailing instructions several times each year without a hitch including this year. But, I have not done so in the last 5 weeks. I use a live phone call to change mine and get the person on the other end stating my request correctly each time. Hope this resolves quickly for you.
