  1. Seems that Dropbox had locked these files. The files in question have never been on Dropbox. I only used Dropbox in the past because somone took some pictures of me and the family and shared them to me via Dropbox. Once I downloaded the app and signed in the files were unlocked. Guess it's time to move those pictures and get rid of Dropbox off my devices.

  2. Prior to Covid, for your time frame, Saguaro would have no available full hookup sites. You would have a boondock site available for a couple of days until a full hookup site opened up.  I don't recall anyone waiting more than 3 to 4 days.

Hard to predict what this season will bring. Our Annual Meeting is Feb 3, so probably around that time we will be full. But again a site will open up within a couple of days.

Calling about a week before you plan to arrive will get you a better idea about how things look for your expected arrival date.

  3. Our old 5th wheel had a TPMS and it saved us a couple of times over the years. Have a Freightliner TPMS system on our new Renagade Classic and our Ford Escape toad has one also.  The Ford Pass App has the ability to monitor the tire pressure and will send an alert to our phones if its out of range pressure wise.  I am thinking that this will be enough for when we are pulling the car and don't need to have an additional TPMS installed on the car. Am I thinking in the right direction or should I go ahead and install an aftermarket TPMS on the road?

    Thanks for your input.

  4. Tried to get to the test screen but couldn't.  Back with Dish CS and got to the test screen.  CS said needed to reboot the Hopper, did so and unit would not go through the boot up process,  got stuck saying starting up. CS says box is bad and need a new one. After about 6 weeks of dealing with this when she offered to take the Hopper back and refund me the cost I said yes. Will stick with the VIP722 for a while longer.

  5. I have gotten better help here than talking to Dish CS. Now have a DPH42 switch on the roof with the  To Dish #1 going to port C on the Travler.  To Dish#2 going to port B and  #3 going to port A. The Receiver Satellite #1 port goes through the roof to the entertainment center where it connects to the power inverter port To Switch Input. The To Receiver Satellite In is connected to the Hopper. The Activate Your Receiver screen  won't activate the receiver and contacting Dish CS ended with the can't use the Hopper on an outdoor account message. I must be missing something.

  6. Brand new Winegard Travler on a 2020 Renagade Classic, with a Dish Outdoors account.  Everything works fine using a Vip722 receiver.  Want to upgrade to a Hopper 3 with Sling. Dish customer service referred us to Dish Outdoors, who told us a Hopper 3 would work. So we purchased one from them.  After receiving and hooking it up spent a couple of hours with a Dish customer service rep and was told we needed a DPH 24 switch.  During this call we talked about a DPH42 but I was told the DPH 24 would work.  So got one and installed. Spent a couple of hours again with Dish customer service trying to get it to work and they finally decided that I needed to hook it up to  a "dumb antenna" to get the firmware updated. Spent $50 at a local authorized dealer and got that done.  Hooked it up and spent another couple of hours with a Dish CS rep. This time he decided that he needed to send out a tech and he waived the fee.  The tech arrived and hooked the Hopper up and we still can't get it activated. The tech made a couple of calls and tells us that the Travler won't work at all with any Hopper, that we need to call Wineguard. Called their cs number and got forwarded to the Dish Outdoors cs. They told us we need a DPH42 switch and then it will work.  I am afraid I am going to end up paying over $100 for the DPH24 and still not be able to hook it up.  Is there something else I should know or do after I get a DPH42 to get this to work or would I be wasting more money buying the switch?

    Thanks

  7. The next nicest park to Ambassador is Canyon Springs. The sites there are not as long or wide as Ambassador.  There will be a number of rig issues with any park in the Treasure Valley area. The housing market there is probably the hottest in the nation. People can't find places to buy or rent so they are using the RV parks. That's the reason Ambassador is not doing monthly rentals now,  only yearly and maxing shorter stays at 2 weeks.

  8. 1999 Volvo VNL 610, Cummins N14, Eaton Super 10.

When going down the road the warning buzzer goes off.  No lights indicating issues.  Air pressure 105 to 120, recently changed dryer butt that didn't stop the issue. Oil level up and pressure about 40. Coolant level up. Buzzer just comes on for 5 seconds to several minutes and then goes off. May stay off for rest of trip or may come back on for the 5 seconds to several minutes again. May not occur during the next  trip. Nothing I can see that is consistent each time.  Does not seem to be affected by bumps in the road.

Thanks for any ideas as to what is causing this and or possible fixes.

  9. Hope to spend some time at Poverty Flats, outside Overton, NV the first part of May. Anyone know if it is closed or not?

Since we are coming from the south can we go through Lake Mead Recreation Area or do we have to go around through Las Vegas?

    Thanks for your help.

  10. Registered my Volvo in Washington State back in 2005. The signage and stopping at scale language was not in the statutes back then. Your information is worded like a information brochure and not the actual RCW. May want to see the actual  statute.

In all my travel around Washington I have stopped at a scale only once and they didn't want to see me at all. I was chased once bobtailed by the Bow Hill station personal and once they saw registration and rv hitch sent me away. I asked him about stopping at scales and was told not to.

This has been my personal experience in that state,  yours may be different.

  11. Currently in a  full service RV park and hooked up with water.  Unhooked the other night because of below 20 temp. About 320 am the water pump came on with both of us in bed. It kept running until I got up turned the switch off. Upon checking further  there is no water leaking out anywhere I can see.  Today I uncovered the pump location and I see no signs that water was leaking in that area. It makes no difference if the park water is on or not the pump just keeps running. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new 4088 or?

    Thanks

  12. I have replaced all my slide toppers and with them fullily extended, wound them 13 times. I have had no billowing issue in over 2600 miles. Remember that plastic retention bracket, if you started with the slide in how much more strain is placed on it when you extended the slide.

  13. After about 1300 miles after a new governor the alarm sounded twice for about 2 seconds. Today the compressor would cycle about every 9 minutes, much better than the 2 minutes before the governor change.

Since the mechanic mentioned a filter in the air dryer, is their such a thing and if so, where might it be located on a 99 VNL610?

  14. 99 Volvo VNL610 with Cummins N14. Drove about 150 miles this morning and all of a sudden the alarm sounds, no red triangle and no red lights on the air pressure gauges. Pressure reading on both gauges about 105 psi. Alarm sounded for a couple minutes then stopped, air pressure increase towards the end of the alarm. Again about 15 minutes later the alarm came on again but lasted for less than 5 seconds, this time pressure reading about 115. Thus happened a total of about 5 times then nothing further. Drove an additional 30 miles until stopping and everything OK. Any idea what may be causing this?

  15. Tracked down to it being the PTC fitting on the back of the gauge. Mine are not repairable so ordered new ones, both were leaking. Then tracked further and ended up repairing all 12 PTC fittings where they go through the firewall and one on the engine side of the firewall. Still some air in tanks after 72 hours, so is now a lot better.
