  1. For the last several weeks, I have unable to book reservations online at both the Alabama and Florida Parks. I keep getting a blue screen that says "null object value", or an error. I used both chrome and edge.
  2. I have had Visible for 18 months, as my primary phone/internet, in the rig. In the RV, the phone stays tethered to a router. With only one exception, I have had good service everywhere I've gone. I use a lot of data, around 300gigs a month. I will say though, that I research the availability of Verizon signals in a particular area, and will not go there if there is no signal.. The times there are problems with Visible service I used my Hello Mobile back up phone. I think for $25/month, it cant be beat, Period.
  3. The main point of this addition is the 21 day park to park Encore Parks. BUT, thats another $615 a year. I spent 180 nights in encore last year with just a camping pass. If I do the math, with financing, the trails collection add on, and the annual dues, its around $400 a month. Thats pushing real close to normal monthly rates at a lot of RV parks. Where I am now is much nicer than any Encore park I have been in and its $440 a month.
  4. The Funny part is, there were 2- 40+ ft. Diesel Pushers in line, and they couldn't fit through the doors, so they pulled over and someone came on board. Texas Loves RV'S!!
  5. Got my first shot this morning at the Corpus Christi Mega Clinic. Waited in line for 6 hours, but when I left there were still people coming in.
  6. Here in the Corpus Christi area, there is a Mega Vaccination site. At first it was signup on the internet, but that quickly crashed. Now its first come first served. I've spoken to several people who got a shot, but they were in line at 2AM. And, this week is cancelled because the State sent the available doses early, and there's no more. Maybe next week they said.
  7. I order my Meds from the VA. They only ship to the address on record (Livingston), unless you call and make special arrangements which is difficult. Escapees notifies via e-mail only for packages. This email arrives after 7PM, when the office is closed. Then the next day they process the mail out order for the following day. Even with the most expensive overnight delivery, it is a 4 day wait or more for the package. Many times my package arrives on Friday afternoon, and with the weekend, only gets shipped on a Tueday, causing a week delay. How do you get around this delay when you are traveling, and not sitting around?
  8. I and many others use the Gli-inet 450S "Slate" router from Amazon($67). Combined with a Visible(Verizon) plan for $25 a month. This provides me with internet in the Rig for 5 devices with unlimited data. Last month I used 250gig, I watch a lot of Netflix. This service can be sketchy in certain locations, but for the most part its good enough for normal activities.
  9. As I posted in another thread, I just completed my Domicile last Month. I did it in Livingston. In addition to the above good tips, at the Tax Office, I also had to show proof of weight, (I used the Sticker behind the seat), and a picture of the Rig. Also you need to get a vehicle inspection done. It costs $7, and there's a place in Town. They only check lights and horn, takes about 10 minutes. For the RV and Toad total cost was $540. What I would do online is start checking the Texas DPS website a couple of weeks before you arrive and try to schedule an appointment for a D/L License in Livingston. I had to wait a week and go to Hunstville (50 miles).
  10. I Just did this in June. I stayed 1 week at Escapees in Livingston, and that wasn't enough time. All the vehicle stuff got done in 2 days, but the Texas DPS, only takes appointments now, and the closest one was a week later and 50 miles away. Also it took 5 weeks to get new Texas titles.
