  1. Thanks Vern. We were hoping to not cut into the paneling, but it may be our only and best solution. In my mind this is a big design flaw. Why there is not an access panel behind the toilet is just crazy.
  2. Thanks Clay. We do have a call into the Service Rep and yes, we also suspect it's a leak at the water line tee.
  3. Thanks Kirk, we have also thought about doing that, but wanted to be sure there wasn't another way besides cutting into the paneling.
  4. Hi AllWe have a 2015 Forest River Legacy 340 Class A motor home and recently replaced the toilet In doing so, we now have a small leak under the wood panel where the toilet line comes out and connects to the toilet There appears no way to remove the panel to access the toilet line.Does anyone know a way other than cutting into the wood panel to get to the toilet line?
  5. Hi All, We recently purchased a used Class A Forest River Legacy Motorhome. We live in Phoenix Arizona and it is obviously very hot right now. There is a motorized shade for the windshield in the interior of the coach, however, we obviously need additional protection as it is still very hot inside the coach. I have done some online research for different options and there seems to be an over-whelming choice of options and suggestions based on interior method - like buying "Double Bubble" Foil Insulation or going to your local Lowe's or HD and buying radiant heat barrier insulation, or exterior method such as purchasing EZ Snap sunshades or Magna Shades. Anyone able to provide any feedback on your experience with Windshield Sunshades and what works the best?
  6. Thank-you all so much for the information provided. All are good suggestions and validations of the thoughts we have as well, but good to hear it from more experienced RV'ers.
  7. Hi All, My husband and I have recently sold our home and want to buy a Motor-home and travel full-time. We are not new to camping. We used to have a 5th wheel Toy Hauler and used it quite a bit. Last year we took it on a month long trip and based on that experience, determined we would like to get a Motor-home instead. We have done a lot of research on what we want in a motor-home as far as the layout, which is important when considering this as your full-time residence and buying new versus used. There are several questions we have however, and hope you all can provide lessons learned and opinions on what we should/should not consider. New versus Used We are thinking of purchasing a used motor-home based on our budget and hopefully all the kinks will be resolved versus a new one Gas versus Diesel Gas motor-homes tend to be cheaper to buy than a diesel, however it appears they may not be built as well. Are the significant differences that would help to determine which to buy other than cost? Private Party versus Dealer A person can save money via a private party - no dealership fees, but you have no recourse as well. If you buy through a private party, what are some things you can do to protect yourself? If you buy through a dealer, you can always try to go back to them if problems, but again, with a used motor-home, not sure there is any recourse there either, if things are not what you thought. COVID19 Is this a good time to think about traveling? We have no home, and traveling is what we want to do, but has anyone experienced a problem with finding RV campsites closed due to the virus? We want to stay here in AZ from Sept - Dec to celebrate the important holidays with our grandkids, but in checking a couple of CAL AM RV parks, they mentioned they don't know for sure if they will be open to new reservations this fall. It all depends. So, is this a good time to be thinking of buying an RV and traveling or should we wait? Thank-you all in advance for your feedback. Emily
