We don't stream TV and never have. What is the advantage of it? We have three TVs in our fifth wheel and are happy with the Direct TV. I have never been to an RV park where their WiFi was able to stream anything. Is it cost? Do you get all of the news? As for movies, I can't do much of that because I fall asleep. My better half records lots of shows that she watches later.

    👍  Well said.

    Kirk,

Clicked on the Lots link to see what was available and nothing happens.  Possibly no lots/houses for sale?

I certainly understand the situation that you face as we went through Pam's first major surgery in the RV and then after getting a home-base she had an ankle and a hip replaced as well as lumbar surgery. Comparing the two situations there were 2 major issues which a home-base resolved, in addition to the extra space. The first is that is is difficult to get out of and into any RV when you are dealing with recovery from major surgery. The advantage of having no steps of any kind between the car and the couch was a tremendous improvement. Even a bigger thing was the ability of the patient to enter and leave the bathroom while using a walker and the space for a second person to assist them in bathing or toilet use. While we managed in the RV, life was far less difficult in the stick home.

At this point, I think that you may find it a better choice to consider some type of RV home-base with an existing home, rather than raw land. As it happens, I know of a possible answer to your dilemma. I am thinking of Bass Lake Christian Retirement Community.  It is a unique community that is organized much like the Escapee co-op parks but with small homes. We lived there for 8 years and as a former president of the co-op, I can answer most questions and share both the pros and cons of the community. If you click on the Lots & Homes for Sale it will download to you a document listing 6 or 7 available properties there. While it is organized as a Christian community, it has no single denomination connection and has a growing number of non-practicing or rarely practicing members. If you have questions, feel free to drop me a private message.

I got about 25,000 miles on tires They are original 2011 tires on a Ford F350 with truck camper. The center tread has lots more wear than the 2 neighboring treads. (top arrow) Also the outer edge has more wear than the inner tire. (side arrow)

How long should front tires last?

Do you think I can get another 5,000 miles on them?

Any suggestions to more even wear?

    1.  It would appear to me that your first priority would be to have the front alignment checked.

    2.  What brand are the tires?

    3. In my opinion, your tires should have been replaced before now; think ageing out.  They are no different than regular rv tires which have a similiar requirement for replacement.

    4.  I would be very hesitant on trying to get more miles from the current tires.

  4. We have always gotten the flu shot and on occasion will have a some brief discomfort afterwards; sore arm, blah feeling for several days, etc. but we get over it.  It is ur bodies reaction to a foreign body being injected into it.  Small price to pay.  The other day I got the 2nd of (2) pneumonia shots and felt nasty for about 36-48 hrs with a very sore arm and blah feeling.

We were in Montana last month and mask-non-compliance was rampant.
In Washington State, mask wearing is so common that it borders on the ridiculous - people out walking are commonly seen wearing masks.

Curious as to why you think suggestions given by medical professions are "ridiculous".  Do you think the ostrich, "head in the sand approach " mentality that some  people have adopted has maybe resulted in part to  some of the 160000 +- people losing their life to this reality?

When you fill your tank with fresh water you turn your intake valve to fill. When you are done filling your fresh water tank you should turn the valve back to to city water. Only turn on your pump when you are not hooked up to city water and are running off your fresh water tank.

We will, on occasion, turn our onboard pump on(we make sure there is water in the tank) to get a  higher flow from the existing cg hookup especially if the CG is full.

May not be related but there are fault codes that can be checked.

We have had a common problem that stopped it from draining. Found the debris catch screen full of dog hair.

Its under the bottom front cover at  floor level. Easy access.

Unscrew it and pull out the mess. Watch for water to come out. Lots if drum is full. Use plastic garbage bag and towel. Catch 90%.

Is what u unscrew on the pump itself or separate.  We're having draining problems and am thinking something might be plugging the screen mentioned.

    Hey All,

I am purchasing a new TT and they are pushing the extended warranty. I never bite on these when buying a car and so far haven't regret it. However this is my first TT and wanted to know your thoughts on worth it or not.

    thx

I've only bought extended ins on rv related equipment (1) time and that was years ago when I had just started rving.  IMO, The rv industry quality leaves a lot to be desired and so called salespeople use this to sell "scare" insurance.  My advise is to wait untill the warranty that comes with what your buying is close to ending then maybe address again.  Companies selling this type of insurance will still be there and will still want to sell .   BTW, when I did purchase the insurance (1) time, the price "is/should" be negotiable as we ended up paying 60% less than then the original quote.
