I'm Deb and my husband is John. Guess it's time we joined the Class of 2019! We are a retired couple in our early 60's. We take delivery on our new Tiffin at the end of January. Our home goes on the market on Feb 1st, and we hit the road as soon as papers are signed. We are knee deep in preparing the home for sale, and the last minute purging is the hardest. I've already donated loads and loads, sold what I could on ebay and Craigslist, and am trying to sell the rest of it now. Some of the furniture has to be here for staging but once we are under contract it will all have to go. Our daughter who lives in another state will be flying in on the 14th and renting a one-way truck to haul home what she wants. Fortunately she just bought a 40 acre place in Colorado with a large house so I'm forcing...er, I mean encouraging...her to take a LOT.
I'm losing sleep over being unable (so far) to sell the high ticket items in my Detroit Red Wings memorabilia collection -- signed framed jerseys, large framed autographed photos, etc. It's literally keep me awake at night and I have to keep telling myself even if I have to GIVE it away (god forbid) I got my enjoyment out of it for many years in my "Red Wing Party Zone" (i.e., our finished basement.) Life goes on! Chapter 2 begins soon!!
