  1. Those pictures prove the point Rick
  2. Hi rod, ya were at the city park till Sunday. This is a nice little town, railroad museum was nice the dolls are upstairs and it was different didn’t spend much time there. Went to the Walter Chrysler museum, his borhood home. They added about 10 sites here behind the others. New 50/30/20 amp service water and a big concrete pad has to be 40x12 at least. Have room for the trailer, hdt and smart and still a lot of room. 20 a nite but they have monthly rates too.
  3. Looks good. Hit 105 here in Ellis Kansas today.
  4. Only one I see working is Susan. She has to put the car on,and does the grinding. Did you at least make her supper rick
  5. We just registered last year and the people at the dmv’s offices were great to deal with. Knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful
  6. We went there about 7 years ago it’s a big park and nice lake no phone service back then. We ended up buying the yearly park pass because we were going to another state park on Madeline island on Lake Superior. It was cheaper to buy the yearly pass than to buy one each time we went to a park. Don’t remember the cost. Watch the raccoons there, they were hungry.
  7. Read another article that said a commercial semi overturned. Wondering if the rv/semi hit the overturned truck
  8. We filled out the regular vehicle registration papers, the title affidavit paper to say what we had in it’s far as motorhome requirements(they have a form and you just check the boxes),a weight ticket for empty weight, and a picture of the truck. We mailed it all in along with the title and in a week or two they called us and we paid tax and registration over the phone and they sent plates. The title took a couple months to get back to us. All the forms are on their website.
  9. Went with Hermann over a year ago for for car hdt and fifth wheel. Very good to work with
  10. I was waiting for someone to ask that question about henway
  11. Give this guy a call and talk to him. Glyn Carson 6145586256. He gives lessons and is very reasonable. You’ll just have to see what part of the country he’s in. My wife took a couple lessons a couple months ago in our hdt. Helped a lot.
  12. Hopefully the other high end rv manufacturers will step it up a little
  13. The valve that you have on the newer rv that you have to turn to direct water for city water, tank fill, dry camp or sanitize can leak by also, or it may be turned a little to far or not enough
  14. Near Blanca now at the BLM land right off of 160. One of the better roads we’ve been on in Colorado. Can’t see the mountains right now for all the rain and clouds but this is a nice place. No thank you on Black bear pass, Kenworth wouldn’t like that one
  15. We all have a duty to find the means to sustain ourselves and sustain those we chose to bring into the world. An able bodied man or woman should not be standing on the street corner holding a sign "Hungry, God Bless" when there is a sign on the building 100 feet from them that says, "hiring, all shifts, sign on bonus". we have seen this way to often
  16. We’ve been in 13 states this year and near Colorado Springs now. Came into Colorado near Dinosaur and got on 70 at Rifle got off at 24 stopped in Leadville then to Peyton. So far Colorado has been the worst roads for us.
  17. We pulled into a over 26000 gvwr must stop on the way to the wcr and as we idled up to them they waved us through. When we passed any more of those weigh stations we just kept going. 98% of the weigh stations we passed were closed
  18. Thank you Henry for the instructions
  19. That’s what I was thinking too. Find a friend or relatives house or a campground that will let you. Maybe get permission from a place out of business that has a lot to work in
  20. I’m sorry I assumed it was paid off (s&b) I know better to assume
  21. If you sold your sticks and bricks you should not need a loan for an rv
  22. We didn’t get any furniture in ours I put my recliner from the house is ours and we had a daybed built it across the back with storage underneath. Most manufacturers will put in rv furniture and some say they put in residential furniture. Buy your own furniture from a place you would buy if you were buying for your house, some are happy with lazy boy recliners but there are better furniture that is made in the states that hold up better than most. Do a lot of research this next year and good luck. Try rv factory tours and start comparing frames and not all the fancy stuff that most people go for
  23. Redwood has been out since 2010-2011. We went through them at a show and were comparable to drv mobile suites back then. We pull a triple axle fifth wheel gvwr of 28500 and tow with a hdt. Once the kinks got worked out it drives better than any pickup does. It’s safer and cheaper over time. It’s a one time buy. Backing is even easier because of where the pin is located. If your looking at red wood look at mobile suites too. If your going custom you are limited to new horizon, spacecraft or dune sport. Just be careful buying a new one for your first one, I haven’t met anyone who sticks with there first one. Better to buy something used to see what you want different.
  24. My wife took some lessons from glyn Carson last month and she highly recommends him. To build confidence and learning how to drive. She was driving a kenworth t680
