Called simpletire this morning and they could only tell me the tires would have a manufactured date of not longer than 4 years. They couldn’t guarantee what the date would be so I won’t be going that way but had great prices. Found a place that had the Goodyear’s at 400 each. Will probably get tires at a place I called today in Topeka or Salina Kansas. Their price was 131.99 each and 2019 date. Will get them on the way to the hdt national rally in October.

I found sailun S637 St235/85r16 g rated all good reviews will check on them today.

Was looking at the endurance but looks like they are only load range E not G. Are you Sailun tires range G?

Do they make their own frames? How long is the build time?

Thank you for the replies. I never thought about selling the used ones they don’t show any signs of cracking or anything I just want to change them before it happens. Probably don’t have 10000 miles on them. Will check out the Sailun tires thanks

I am looking for new tires for a 2011 38 ft mobile suites. The original tires are Goodyear Lt235/85r16 G614. Will probably stick with the same but was wondering what other people use, I won’t put some no name cheap ones on. I want good tires that I won’t be worried about the whole time and I’m about 1500 lbs from gvwr on the trailer. It’s about 16000 loader and I have weighted it. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Hi Carl when we bought our 2011 ms 2 years ago we had bearing failure but also the caliper pins were dry and the caliper would not float, I don’t know if the sticky pins caused rubbing and heated bearing or if bearing heated pins up. The wheel was hard to turn with both hands plus it was so hot that you could barely touch the aluminum wheel for 1 second at most. We never replaced it, I know we should because dot date is 2010 will replace in spring but no problem with the tire they are the 16 inch Goodyear.

Depending on what year and what motor you have. The last two Chevy 1500 I have had had a 6.0 gas and a 6.2 gas and a heavy duty rear axle towed a 33 ft Salem fine on the flats of Illinois but not that great in big hills or mountains, and it seems no mater what you tow behind it your lucky to get 8 mpg on either motor

We stayed at the Shawnee forest campground on the way to the hdt rally this spring. Very nice people working very hard to make it a nice place to stay. Close to the highway but quiet.

The older craftsman tool are a lot higher quality than the new ones can’t count how many newer ratchets I have broke. I look at estate sales or some flea markets for old tools they will outlast most new ones. I have a Williams half inch ratchet and socket set that is probably older than me (50) I will keep that and let craftsman set go when we full time

We just spent a week at a county fair camping in an open field. 97-100 all week with humidity at least 85%. Ac’s Ran all day without shutting off till at least 10pm. No shade. Was a fun week but glad it’s over. Btw it is only 20 minutes from our house and pool. We are in mid illinois just north west of Springfield

When we get different rv’s we use it in the driveway for a few days or a very close to home camp ground in case something does go wrong

We have one on our 2004 f-350 and it is real easy to use just plug in and it tells you what to do depending on what you want,towing or normal driving. We have 2 towing and a couple of performance modes will look tomorrow to see what brand. We’re very happy with it on a bullet proofed 6.0 liter that tows a lot more than it was rated for stock and good mileage too.

If it’s 1 1/2 I can just glue and screw 2pieces of 3/4 and glue the white piece back on. Today’s not the day though it’s in mid 90’s with heat index near 110 with a lot of humidity

Thanks Jim it doesn’t look too bad to replace that small slide floor I was going to try and remove all the wood off of the white piece that you can see from the outside and re glue it on the new wood. I need to see what thickness the wood is. I have a planer if it’s an odd ball size

We have a 2011 drv rssb3 and just noticed rot in our dresser slide out floor resealed a lot this spring. Waiting for the weather to cool down a little before I replace it. Replaced both axles to get rid of the nev r lube hubs was a pretty easy swap

Best place I’ve found for reviews is a campground. Just drive through and stop and talk to people most will give an opinion. Ask them about good and bad and you can see what they pull them with.

I have had different brands of travel trailers over the years haycock, forest river,and a couple other that I can’t remember. I definitely think the older ones are the best. I would stay away from ultra light or light weight trailers. If you look close when you go through them a lot of the wood is thinner and just doesn’t seem to me to be as solid, especially if your going to use it more than just the occasional weekend. Forest river Salem model that I had was 33 ft was very happy with that one. Just pay close attention to how it’s built and not so much on the shiny stuff. For sure check the tire ratings compared to the gvwr.

I notice that when it’s time to clean the Roof. After a good scrubbing and adding the protectant for the rubber roof it stops and is easier to keep the sides clean. The roof oxidizes pretty fast in the sun

We are starting now to sell the house and 40 acres with pond and pool. We have 4 years until we go fulltiming and I don’t want to have to wait. Keeping fingers crossed showed house yesterday and another today.

We have had that same cover for 8 years on our truck, fades after all those years but still works great. Best part is getting to the front of the bed. Would like to find one for our 2004 long bed Ford 350
