  1. We live in Mexico in the winter. Have been doing this for over 30 years. have never been asked for proof of vaccination. This is entering by land. Air is different. Mexico is one of the few counties that do not even check your ID. It is illegal but by land you can just drive past the place where you get a tourist pass!! There are cameras but half the time they do not work. When you go into the booth to get a tourist pass and then your vehicle permit they could care less about your vax status. How ever being vaxed is a good idea. Presently Mexico is having outbreaks of Flu, respiratory illness and Covid. If you are on tours wear a mask. Crowds are horrible.
  2. I do not know why Starchoice does not have streaming. They are still in the dark ages. If you want to use one of those underground services you can get lots of Canadian channels. I will not use them it is not justillegal they may sell your credit card info.

    Truck stops

I am also a part time otr driver. When I have an hour left on my clock and the truck stops have rv,s in the teuck spaces it is stressful We have to stop by law . I understand thete is no rule for idling rv parking bit it shows a lack of respect for hard working drivers.
  4. Cell phone carriers have their own dictionary Unlimited means that after using a small amount of data you are throttled to a ridiculous slow speed.
  5. Tello is not all unlimited. I think you get 25gb and then it is unlimited 2g. Next to useless.
  6. There is no reason for not being able to run 2 ac's. Unless the genset output is not continuous.
  7. A false alarm gives you beeps and shows low pressure.
  8. About 15 years ago we had a pressure pro system complete with repeater. Had nothing but false alarms. Gave up and removed everything. Bought a TST. Not only false alarms but the sensors often had to be reprogramed. If I could find a system that worked would buy one.
  9. RV. I have been following your posts in this thread but have some questions. Everyone has different needs. Even part time rv'rs often need lots of data due to streaming. Most do not want to fool around with cables. So Hotspot usage csbe a necessity. Other than visible most carriers use the term unlimited to mean it is unlimited but after a certain usage it slows down to almost dial up. Does us mobile do any of the above? Typically mvno's do not provide roaming on non Verizon towers. Some users of mvno get slower service when the towers are busy. Native users have priority. Does the above apply to US MOBILE? Thanks
  10. Maybe you can just take a photo of the document and email. Genius fax is an app that may help. Check your app store.
  11. You get 500 mb. with the device. That is not enough to do anything. Totally useless. They are from Lithuania !
  12. I am expecting that soon the monthly bill will be over $200.00

    Spice Holder

Most bulk bins have been removed due to covid.
  14. Winnie probably dropped Lippert slides as they had so much trouble. I forget the name of the system but it is something like shcwintek?? Lippert has become the largest supplier to the RV industry. But almost everything they make is cheaply made. They have bought out mfrs. of various components and then cheapened the product. I think Lippert means junk in Swahili!!!
  15. Direct will still be around for awhile. Right now they have sales crews in Walmart , Costco and were aggressively selling in the Big Tent at Q. As much as I respect DocJ's knowledge I think he pushes streaming too much. It works for him but not every one is in the same boat. For instance: The many Canadian RV'rs who wish to stream cannot do that with Canadian cell carriers that are still in the dark ages. Many plans have as little as 8G of data while in the USA. AT&T will not sell to Canadians even if they have a USA address.Something to do with credit checks I am not sure if you can stream Canadian Networks while in the USA.May need a VPN. Many RV'rs are not full time. They may only travel off and on in the summer or maybe for a month here and there. An expensive data plan that is not used all the time will not work. But for full timers it is a good idea.
  16. AT& T has discontinued that plan. Net buddy was just charging you a bunch of $$ for something you could get for $35.00 a month.
  17. Just a few years ago one could find a spot in many areas for around $35.00. Now the norm is over $50.00. Worse yet it is getting harder to just pull in without a reservation.

    5 Can Soup

I used the original recipe but no chicken. Instead I used a can of Chili no beans. Very tasty. How come there are rarely any recipes posted? Don't Escapees like to cook? Or maybe they just stopped sharing? There was a gal that came on here all the time with recipes.
  19. RV4g is quite expensive.. They are selling the same plan that is on Ebay for $25.00 a month. $87.00 for a sim card is also a lot.
  20. Those with smaller absorption fridges rarely have serious problems. It is the large Norcold 1200 series that is bad. AS for extended warranties on a residential fridge: Some retailers will sell you an extended warranty that will be valid. We have had a factory installed Jenn Air side by side in our Dynasty for 10 years. I would never go back to a propane fridge. But one must be made aware that today's residential fridges are not like your mother's fridge. They usually do not last 10 years. repairmen will tell you that the average life span is maybe 7 years. They also will tell you that most of the time it will cost more to repair than buying a new replacement.
  21. Kirk's LED shop lights are no more efficient than a T8 4 ft. flourescent. I am surprised as usually the LED is far more efficient.

  23. Terms of service violations would never make it into a courtroom. ATT has enough people hating them without trying to be high and mighty.
