  1. Getting a Senior Pass for each of us seemed like a good idea, so my wife dropped by the local BLM office today and got one for herself. Thanks all for the advice. -mel & Bonnie
  2. Interesting. My wife and I are planning a trip to Ely this summer for her 50th HS reunion. Since this location is right across the street from a Fire Station, it might not be the quietest place to boondock. We will probably look for someplace to dry camp closer to McGill, as we will be towing one of the Jeeps that we can use to drive around and explore some of the old haunts. -mel
  3. Hi, I hope this is the correct place to introduce myself. My wife and I live in the Pacific NorthWest and currently own several RVs, a Toy Hauler, a home-made teardrop and I just bought a high roof, extended length Ford Transit cargo van to use as kind of a "steel tent" as my wife won't sleep in the teardrop and I am tired of dealing with a tent when I go Jeeping or drag racing. I will be retiring in a few years and she is selling her business, so we will be on the road more. We used to own a Monaco class A pusher, but I don't want to drive anything that big anymore. Just bought a lifetime America the Beautiful senior pass yesterday for $10 from the local BLM office. Apparently, they expect the senior pass might go away soon, so perhaps that was timely. In any event, it seems like a great purchase. I also joined Escapees and am considering SD residency. Good to be here. -mel
