  1. I have an original Sani-con that is approaching 15 years old, if not older. It stopped once. A chunk of plastic from construction got caught in the impeller. Just took the impeller housing apart to clear it. I do hear that long hair will get caught in the impeller and bind it up. since my wife has very short hair and I have none we do not face that problem.
  2. Just registered for 2021 in Rock Springs. this will not be my first or second Escapade. We will be coming from Jojoba Hills SKP Resort near Temecula CA. Our route may be via Albuquerque NM with intermediate stops most anyplace. Not unlike our Alaska trip many years ago that started by driving down the East Coast to Florida - sort of wrong way Corrigan - but that is how we almost plan our travel most times.
  3. We all have to keep some old stuff for memory's sake. I admit to keeping old meters that no longer work just because I might get them to work again. That was before going full time. Now I only have one moderately good meter, just good enough to know if I have a problem or not. Can't even say what it is as it is on the coach which is 15 miles away. Day after tomorrow it will be with in easy reach as we resume life on the road.
  4. I have read this entire thread through and I have a Precision Temp 500 tankless heater. The critical item that I see is that having a decent VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter) and knowing how to use it may be the most important tool to carry. I keep mine in an interior cabinet above the door and it is the first thing I grab if I think there may be any kind of electrical problem.
  5. I'm with Selah, We try to turn over the water in the FW tank every month or two. Either go dry camping or just turn off the water source and run off the tank for a few days, then refill when at a known good source. Tiffin puts the whole house filter after the FW tank before the cold water goes to the house. have left it that way. Five years and no problems yet
