  1. It is a fact that AGM batteries degenerate more slowly the flooded ones. They can also be discharged to deeper without doing damage to the battery. Here is a link to all you would like to know about AGMs. https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/absorbent_glass_mat_agm
  2. One other reason for AGMs is that they degenerate more slowly than wet cells do. For us the advantage is that we leave our rv in storage for approximately 6 months out of the year. I disconnect the batteries so no parasitic sources can drain the batteries. Even after 6 months they have enough power left to operate the hydraulics for the landing jacks and get it connected to my truck. Where I store it, there is no way to keep the batteries charged.
  3. Well one day after renewal of the plan, everything is peachy again. No drops no troubles. This indicates that it is a problem with Verizon, not a hardware problem. Verizon is messing with us on the day of our renewal. For what reason, I don't know.
  4. Since I posted last I have had to reboot the MIFI 2 times. I guess you could say we are heavy users, we went thru 103 gb this month. Two Phones a computer and a tablet and some netflix went thru this thing this month. Actually that is less than last month and we didn't have this kind of trouble last month. I see that my payment went thru just a few minutes ago. Will see if this calms down for a while. Interesting thing, after I reboot the MIFI it see a signal strength of -65db with a signal to noise ratio of 16 db. That is quite good. But after a while it falls off to -93 db and a SNR of 5 or 6. Don't know what is going on there. It acts like it is loosing a couple of its' 4 antennae inside, or its radio fluctuates. Don't know, just brain storming.
  5. Well it is my auto renew day and my 8800 is dropping me about every 2 hours. Its' screen says it is connected to the internet, but my computer and phone says connected with no internet. Have had the 8800 for 2 months now. This is the first time it has done this. Will a factory reset fix this? If so do I have to reinstate the account? THIA for any advise.
  6. Chiefneon, How do you get past the requirement and I quote "Residential customers only", that Direct TV Now has? This really sounds great. Would like to eliminate the satellite dish, and like you not worry about trees, rain and such. Would be using the Verizon unlimited pre pay MIFI plan. Already have it and it work great for our internet.
  7. Hate to tell you this, but surveys are a joke. They are only put there to make you think that someone cares.
  8. We have Samsung S7s. We are on Verizon. We use them as hot spots to a great extent. Have to watch it to not go over or 15Gb limit. The question is, why do the phones seem almost useless, as hot spots, when we are in an area that only has 3G service. Sometimes it is so bad that I can't access my email?
  9. Why? They won't listen to us. They only listen to the big guys with all the money that helped get them elected.
  10. I am will be going to the Tampa area in the near future. I have a Winegard X1 WA. Will I be able to get anything on it in this area? Would locals be available in this area? Thanks in advance.
  11. And therein lies the problem with buy from someplace like Walmart. Most of the time the personnel in the phone department are little more than cash register checkout people, with little to no knowledge of how all the intricacies of wireless plans really work.
  12. Have had a WD My Passport Ultra 1TB Portable External USB 3.0 Hard Drive with Auto Backup, Redattached to our 211z for 2 summers now a total of about 10 mpnths. I works perfectly and dose not need an external power supply. http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EAS8M0S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00
  13. Thanks everone for the replies. Wenvalley, we have almost precisely the same situation as you! We have the DROID bionic also. Mine still works pretty well because I have refused to install Jellybean bacause some said it would slow the phone down. My wife inadvertently installed it on hers. The were right. Hers is noticeably painfuly lower than mine now. I will have to pay full price too, to preserve my unlimited plan.
  14. Has anyone started using the LG G4 as a hotspot? If so how well is it working for you? Also, is it a good telephone - signal sensitivity call quality etc. All the reviews on line talk about the computer properties of the phone, but rarely talk about the telephone qualities of the phone.
