I did recently install a new battery. I'm going to be more diligent about rebooting it more often instead of running it days at a time(its on a timer with 4 short "on" intervals so as to not overcharge) and removing the battery once in awhile as suggested.

Thank you! I never thought about those other possibilities. I will try the phone as hotspot next time it occurs. Also the reset. Today all is perfect with the reception.

Any thoughts what the issue could be? We are home and aren't moving around with it. It was acting up when we traveled with it recently but that involves a lot of variables so didn't think much of it.

We have a Jetpack Mifi 8800 that I think is wearing out after much use. The resolution on the TV is often blurry now even with an excellent signal. Up until a month or so ago all was fine. I bought a Verizon new in box identical replacement on Ebay. I'm wondering if I can simply switch sim cards. I'm not very tech savvy. I got this unlimited plan just before they discounted it and my biggest fear is I'll screw something up and loose the plan.
