  1. Canada’s Prime Minister spoke at COP26 and told the assembly Canada is warming twice as fast as everywhere else. 3rd paragraph: https://electricautonomy.ca/2021/11/15/trudeau-canada-clean-net-zero-grid/ So all the media articles mentioned in the linked video in the original post are no longer valid. Canada is now in the lead.

  6. It is 6x6 too Vern! But totally no good for a Big RV because it’s not a dooly?
  7. It would be a blur in the eyes.
  8. Hi Rod For driveline rpm divide the engine rpm by the transmission ratio. Example An Eaton Fuller 13 or 18 speed with .74 overdrive in top gear will turn the driveline at 2027 rpm at 1800 engine rpm.
  9. Quiz time: when driving your air brake equipped RV vehicle what is “take up”?
  10. There are a lot of records and newspaper reports indicating 1921 has been the hottest year in the northern hemisphere “on record”. I know I know - the generation that studied relativity and advanced methods to harness atomic energy didn’t have accurate thermometers and computer models.
  11. Considering the stampede of the first 2 days they have processed I found my interaction to be just fine. But then again I have never had a grumpy border guard in either direction ever. The truck lane filled up as well so then there was passenger winda down visiting with drivers from both countries wanting to know about my old crate. As I wander south I’ve also had more than one “good to see you folks again” from local people.
  12. Arrived at Coutts/Sweetgrass near mid day. Yes about the busiest time. 1 hr 45 mins got to the gate. Entertainment includes watching que jumpers driving down the truck lane then wanting in the non commercial line, while stopped in front of trucks wanting through to the empty POE lane ahead. The line of waiting vehicles was 98% AB plates. The line jumpers were 90% BC and SK plates. I guess we dint understand how far they had to drive to get here.🤣 I roll up to the gate with the engine shut off and don’t dump the air from the parking brakes. Border guard says Thanks for that then usual 4 questions, scans the passport, and then: What do you have in the garage? My motorcycle. What kind? Triumph Tiger 800… Cool! I ride a Triumph such and such. chit chat chit chat chit chat Except for the motorcycle chat the crossing would have taken 1 minute. Report over.
  13. Hi Ray - he has another video kind of to that effect.

  17. That Roadmaster system looks good Dave We have an old utility flatdeck in the family made from a recycled travel trailer chassis. It has tandem axles with slipper springs and all greaseable points. It really rides nice.
  18. Yes on more than 2 lanes where off and on ramps are frequent I will find a truck to pace in the next to right lane to allow local traffic to merge and exit. My Big Rig has fwd signal light at the corner of headlamps, rear/side facing amber signals on the back of the front fenders, amber LED high on back of cab, amber LED low at rear on the rear skirt, side ambers half way down the trailer, rear LED on the trailer. So when I get a right side blind spot speed matcher cruiser beside me when I would like that lane I do this: 1. Impart the gentle RV trailer weave and wiggle that is so easy to do with their RV teeter totter axle location. 2. Illuminate six (6) flashing indicator lamps. After 5 flashes or so begin to change lanes, then weave back like I just noticed them. 3. Once they are done their text or phone call they make a decision to get out of the way. Contrary to most war stories on line my ratty pile of RV parts in close formation seems to create it's own safety zone.
  19. 🤣 - Skandahoovian migrants brought that to west Canada too Linda. We were guests in a home in England. The people had visited Ontario Canada the year before. They thought the "4 way" or "all way" stop intersection was the most ridiculous thing they had ever seen. When I asked why in their polite way they said, "Why would you have to stop if there is no traffic approaching the junction?"
  20. Once you leave southern California in the west you again see more of "the hesitation merge" by drivers. You see them coming and you back off just a tick to open space in front of your Big Rig RV and they respond by matching your speed as they run out of road beside you on the merge lane, while you have no room to move left... why do you have a 400hp personal vehicle? In SoCal it's like leaving the pit lane under green. I've had vehicles turning on the merge road off the bridge while I go by underneath beat me to the lane ahead. That's the way to do it.
  21. Dave that is a whole lot of beer and pizza ... My 06 Dodge won ton has a rear full air suspension from these people. Many many miles still going strong. It is retired to a family member's farm/ranch doing light duty like hauling 30K bale loads now. In the pickup application it bolts in to all existing factory mounts. I would say the trailer suspensions involve some welding. Contacting Derek would confirm all questions. Autoflex and Trailerflex suspension systems
