  1. Each state is different but the end result, the dealer processes the paper work to hand off to state or county to complete the transaction for your state to collect the taxes/fees due. If your financing your title will go to the finance firm but I'm sure Missouri has handled that many times. I use to buy some used cars in Missouri and the biggest problem was getting them to put a license plate bracket on the front of the car. Clay
  2. Welcome to the forum. I can't give a definite answer on all parks, But Golf Carts seem to be the standard, primarily because limited speed. I know of a modified golf cart that could exceed the speed limit big time being black flagged. Gas or electric has been OK However during spells could gas carts be grounded. Clay
  3. The inverter failed the First test. I got back to the project today and after a hard reset and a soft boot everything is working OK. Clay

Growing up as a farm boy, baling wire was used for many things. Your kluge reminds me of things I did before Dad let me use the welder. Thinking outside the box! Clay

You have me puzzled on your first picture. Is that the input or output? I'm betting it is pump input to try collect algae out of a diesel tank. The wire wrap is to scrape/collect algae and rust from tank sides and filter as required. Clay
  6. Remember when the Motor Fuel Tax was to be only for roads and 40% of the Lottery was to be used for Education. All major road projects (excluding Tollways) have a large percent Federal Dollars. Maybe the vehicle license plate/tag fees should have added Federal Tax to aid the individual states. ( My disclaimer is I'm not serious about this) Clay
  7. Magnum 2812 is ready for the test tomorrow. The hard part of returning the 57# unit to service, is mounting it to the basement ceiling of the ENTEGRA.
  8. May the next step in Texas is raising the Gas Tax, a Dime. Would that be equalization. Better that putting a Sales Tax on Gasoline, as then you have on idea who is spending your money. Clay
  9. I'm one of the fellows that leave there Inverters on 24/7 so one day I noted the microwave clock running slow. and that supplying inverter was not charging batteries. I reset the Inverter 30 amp circuit breaker. Maybe after resetting the breaker a couple times in maybe 6 weeks, I reset the breaker but turned the inverter off. A couple nights later, my wife was preparing Supper (yes we are an older couple), she was using the convection oven and started the Electric Fry pan. The breaker tripped again but with the inverter turned off, everything stopped. Turned the inverter on remotely and DW was happy. So now I knew the problem, the 30 amp circuit breaker must be bad if the 2800 watt inverter can continue to supply the load. But then again the I noted that inverter was not charging. and resetting the circuit breaker did not help. I checked connections and everything appears OK, but yet the 120V wasn't getting it job done inside the box. Bad circuit breaker or transfer relay? I called Magnum Customer service explaining the problem. He told me a list of things to do check which I had done all but one and that was checking the inverter setting. For further info and repair I should call "Inverter Service Center, Whitehouse TN". The people at TN were the most helpful I told the fellow the suspected part problem and he told the relays were mounted on a card but the circuit breaker was a serviceable part.( good news I was suspecting a part soldered to a board.) I removed the inverter and removed the cover. Next I lifted a few circuit cards to see where a piece of wire had been attached to the circuit breaker. The Circuit Breaker-Wire connection was by a spade terminal. The wire crimp had failed but hung in there to make charcoal of plastic and melt a few copper strands. My thoughts are the hot connector changed the properties of circuit breaker thus tripping at less than 25 amps. I still have to determine the wire size but observation is 12 but external AC wiring is to be 10. Something I want to check when going back. Inverter Service Center is sending the circuit breaker today today. The 55 pound inverter is mounted to the ceiling of the basement. It will be a job to replace laying on your back in a space varying between 16 to 29 inch high. I always wanted a job I could lay down on and now I can mark that of my Bucket list. Clay
  10. I think your figuring out your DW is ready for retirement. Nothing wrong with that, in fact the extra togetherness is good for planing Maybe time to find a good civic club like Kiwanis or other organization that benefits Children. Clay

Do you attach a hose (drain line) to the Brass or copper. Then you have a super-sized funnel.
  12. I agree, they are the working folks. I give them a break. maybe I will get a break someplace. Clay
  13. Terrible. I hope the family members are OK now. What his lawyer could say; Automatic braking failed, Cruise control failed to slow down, Seat belt was to long and become tangled up with brake pedal. The coffee was to hot and burn me. Many things wrong here. Clay
  14. That was very wise. Do it again using a orange cone or something to watch in your mirrors. Watch the mirrors to study your turning radius. In the vacant parking lot you can stop, get out and check. Re-tries are Free. In the campground, don't panic if you need a little help, we have all been in your shoes and willing to help. Clay
  15. 6 weeks before i retired I took a long 3 week traveling vacation. Then when I retired, I enjoyed my hobbies. Some of that would be classified as work but such a charge was enjoyed., After 5 months the fun ended as I had a house started. I worked aside that crew. Now 19 years later, you become busier just because its takes longer to get out of the house every morning. Clay
  16. I agree with Kirk. I have been treated good by Miller for more 5 years. Clay
  17. Shipped an item, 4 Day ground, that took 11 working days. For some reason it got on an east bound truck instead of west. I think it got lost in Houston. So as we learned over 50 years ago, Hello Houston, WE HAVE A PROBLEM
  18. I saw this device today. The fellow was loading his box trailer saying he always loads his golf cart first then the motorcycle. The rest of the loading may be at random according to the number rocks we pickup (joke). This device tells my friend if he is properly loaded and has enough weight on his hitch and if towing vehicle is overloaded. https://www.weigh-safe.com/product-category/ball-mount/ Watch the Tongue Weight Safety video. https://www.weigh-safe.com/videos/ Clay
  19. Ditto. To many people have gotten Thor'ed. I just hope people don't get Blue'd at the side the road. Clay
  20. I can't believe Illinois has stopped doing motorcycle certifications for the winter. Lots of people are able to ride motorcycles year round (expect a few weeks in winter) in extreme southern Illinois. Does Illinois recognize any independent organizations for certification. Does Illinois honor any other states What do Illinois dealers do, should you buy the bike in Illinois, say NO, you can't purchase. I suggest to talk to a dealer in Marion, IL or Paducah KY . What does your insurance say about the situation.. Clay, I left IL 8 years ago
  21. Thanks for the link. The title question. I like to sleep in the cold and near freezing is OK but like 60 degrees plus, climbing under the covers. Clay
  22. What bothers me is the price difference, Just yesterday in LA or eastern Texas I saw $2 difference between gas and diesel, $1.30 was common . High diesel prices makes no sense as everyone pays for some diesel (everything you buy is transported by some diesel) but not gasoline. Lets get back closer to price per BTU pricing Clay
  23. Any details on your travels, are you planning to stay in it as you travel. What are some details of your travel trailer, Make, Model, Age, slides, will help with needs. Some will drain everything and blow out the lines, other may also flush with the RV antifreeze including drain traps ( My choice). Clay
  24. Sorry to see you lost your wife recently, I loss my wife just after 44 years. We had planned a 40 day driving trip to start a month after her death. I couldn't do that that trip but other 7 - 10 trips. I was on Medicare with a supplement. But I wasn't even concerned about those type things. 6 months later I was getting my act together and got Sky-Med for the big medical events to get you back home. Goods Sam's had a similar plan on a much lower key. Take care of yourself, eat good meals and you may be cruising the road for many years. My doctor didn't like the fact that I considered a bag of Chocolate covered almonds a meal. Clay
  25. Kirk Thanks for editing my lost title, that is correct. 10 days ago I was in Cold Illinois and from there when to Memphis for Thanksgiving. After visits in east-central Florida, continuing west across uncharted area, for me, on i-10.. I've been in uncharted area before but the rough spots on roads are never charted except by construction signs. Clay Driving a Class A pulling a car
