  1. Congrats, Beautiful, that is about the way I would like my 670 to look someday. What is your wheel base?
  2. Message Cory (Vegas teacher) then. He is in Las Vegas and spend a lot of time in Pahrump with his dogs.maybe he can meet up with you.
  3. I am glad you came back. Anyway my answers stand from your previous post. Welcome to the forum. Are you in northern or Southern Nevada.
  4. No, bobtail is not an issue. It is no longer a commercial truck. My insurance is not a commercial policy and I do not have a commercial class A. Others may have more to add but just because you drive bobtail does not make you commercial.
  5. I registered mine as a Motorhome. However mine was previously titled in Colorado as a Motorhome and made it easy. Others who just convert theirs have had to register as a private truck. Because I pull a trailer in excess of 10,000 lbs I need a class A non commercial license.
  6. I am in Nevada and have an HDT. Not an expert but what do you want to know?
  7. I am not a tire expert, however my trailer tires are inflated to 115 lbs cold and routinely run at 135-140 lbs when traveling down the road. That should not be an issue at all. Maybe I am wrong but cold tire pressure is just that, cold pressure not traveling temps/ pressure
  8. Great section on Solar installs and resources, Chad. How in the world can you document so much information.
  9. We have close to 5,000 miles on the truck since October when we bought it. All is good with the truck so far. We spent two weeks in Quartzsite with a bunch of HDT folks. Could not get home so had to park the truck, trailer and Rzr in Lone Pine for a week. They are currently home and waiting to get cleaned up. Going camping again this weekend.
  10. Cory, I just went through this in Nevada. The requirements are below, but I am sure you already know them. The hardest part of the tests is the worrying about passing. They are really not that difficult. This is the way it was explained to me. If you are towing a trailer more than 10,000 lbs gvrw ( that is a pretty light 5th wheel) you need at least a J endorsement. If that combination is over 26,001 lbs you need a Class A non commercial. It really makes no difference what your rigs actually weigh , it is the manufactures gvw figures that count. If the vehicle has air brakes you need the air brake endorsement. So since most of out HDT’s are at or over 26,000 lbs GVWR anyway you really cannot legally tow anything without a Class A with your truck. For me I just did not want to worry about it and needed to get my Class A. I am very glad I did. If it was explained to me incorrectly I apologize for passing on the error. Nevada Class A May drive any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, provided the vehicle being towed has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 10,000 pounds; or Any combination of vehicles not exceeding 70 feet in length with a gross combination weight rating of 26,000 pounds or less so long as the gross combination weight rating of the towed vehicles does not exceed the gross vehicle weight rating of the towing vehicle. Class B May drive any single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds, or any vehicle which is towing another vehicle which does not have a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds. Class C May drive any single vehicle or combination of vehicles, that does not meet the definition of a vehicle for which a Class A or B driver’s license is required. May tow a combination of vehicles not to exceed 70 feet in length and not to exceed a combined weight rating or a combined weight of more than 10,000 pounds without any additional testing or endorsements. J endorsement May tow a vehicle (GVWR) or a combination of vehicles (GCWR) of more than 10,000 pounds. The combination of vehicles may not exceed 70 feet in length or have a combined weight rating or a combined weight that exceeds 26,000 pounds. If the combination of the towing vehicle and the towed vehicle(s) exceed 26,000 lbs., a Class A license is required.
  11. For what it is worth, when I replaced my tires I just pulled the slides in and lifted the trailer up with the hydraulic jacks, removed the tires/wheels and threw them in the truck and dropped them at the tire shop for half a day. Picked them up and put them back on. Not much of an inconvenience at all.
  12. Awesome, good for you. Just talked to Chad and looks like maybe a Razor upgrade👍. I hope things work out and we can see you guys again soon.
  13. Congratulations , what a testament to how well you have organized and promoted the event. That is a lot of rigs!
  14. If I can catch them I figure 2 mph increase from the draft. I really hope we can hook up this year. I loved our discussions of snowmobile racing and tuning. I am a bit older but still remember grinding on the clutch weights trying to get the most performance out of the clutch.
  15. I camp with Chad all the time. We will see “ grasshopper”. Looking forward to meeting up.
  16. I am extremely un-rememberable. Don’t worry about it. From what I have been told, we will be the keeping up part.
  17. Mr Cob, We will be meeting up with you in Barstow and caravan into Quartzite together. I think I met you briefly at the first WC rally in Sparks, NV. We are coming down 395 from Northern Nevada. Drive safe and have a wonderful trip. See you soon!
  18. Reservations made! We will also be staying for the SxS riding after the Rally
  19. We will make our reservations tomorrow. Thanks for putting the event on again.
  20. 1.2 TB = 1,200 GB = 1,200,000 MB of data. Why the outrage? Seriously if everyone used this amount of data your bills would sky rocket. Why do you think companies should be forced to provide this unlimited data to everyone. Most folks are thrilled with 50-100 GB on there Mobley’s
  21. Not the case in rural Nevada. I asked specifically if I needed to have a class A driver come with me and the answer was no for non commercial. It just seemed odd to me that the response to my story was “you would have failed in my state”. If I was in MD I would have done it differently.
  22. Fortunately for me I took the test in Nevada. I missed your point.
