  1. Been running for 3 years on a class C. I have a hard time with that argument since ACs just vibrate 24/7 running all the time. That's all they do.
  2. my generator is on the truck. I have a tether from back of truck to the front of the trailer for power.
  3. For generator, I'm mostly thinking of use when traveling and we parkinglot camp for the night, need to be able to run the AC. I also turn the ACs on about an hour or two before arriving to have it cool when we get there. No inverters now, so the genset keeps the fridge on and ACs occasionally. Good Teton group here. We saw a beautiful Teton/HDT rig in Montana last week that were boondocking on the Madison River. I have a pic somewhere I'll dig up. didn't get to speak with them.
  4. pics please. I'm thinking two cassettes in place of the roof top units. 18k unit to service both off a 240v inverter. Glenn, how are you doing the 240v for the cassettes? I will have to rewire my genset for 240v split phase to support. Thanks, Shannon
  5. I think that is how the Beginning from This Morning folks did theirs, but with copper bars vs. cables.
  6. You are not Tesla, but similar setup with your leafs, if I understand correctly. Interesting info nonetheless.

  8. Glenn, watching some EVTV videos, and they use this inverter, with 120/240 output. 4k output https://inverterservicecenter.com/Schneider-Electric-RNW8654024 7k output https://inverterservicecenter.com/Schneider-Electric-RNW865684801
  9. Better Blanding than Moab. We just left Moab on Wednesday. Where you headed?
  10. EZtops is quality stuff. Taping/dicor work well. There is no load on the skylight and have you ever tried to get eternabond off?
  11. Glenn, been following your posts on the facebook forums too. I think it is simply a communication thing. You have a monitor with apps and web interface. Saying "don't want to mess with a monitor" I think came across as not having any monitor in place, which is not true. There always needs to be a monitor and you would have a monitor. Just my two cents.
  12. Great meeting everyone. Glad we were able to make it up for a couple of days. Made the first cut on the bed, committed now!
  13. It wasn't actually a ground wire problem at all. It was the controller board failure, which is soldered to the inverter head. Call Bob at Parkers Crossroads RV Repair in Parkers Crossroads, TN. He is an Onan whisperer. I found him way after, but he said he fixes them all the time without replacing the entire head. 731.968.9939
  14. When I called Hensley, they said they could not get me a replacement head for a while, so that was also a deciding factor in going to Youngs/ET head. Here is the thread from last sumer: http://www.rvnetwork.com/topic/136562-tslbh-head-pin-key/
  15. my binkley head failed and I replaced with ET head. beef with the ET head is evident. I happened to be about three hours from Youngs and had them do it. Shannon
  16. If I remember correctly, David H made all his connections plug in/removable on both sides (truck/trailer). Takes the hoses/cables off and puts them in a compartment on the truck. I think I have a pic somewhere. Found it.
  17. Looking at all the install pics on the internet, guess a carpet covered basement wall in an RV meets that requirement?
  18. One note, when pulling the air tank drains and you are underneath the rig, please make sure you are wearing eye protection.
  19. I was thinking just a piece of plywood since the fans inside the inverter force the air out the grill.
  20. Get a good router and an external antenna IMO. Pepwave MAXTransit DUO and a MobileMark 7 in 1 external antenna with a ground plane. ramped up signal tremendously. Enable wi-fi calling on your phone and all good. I work remote, video calls all day long, best signal I have ever had.
  21. you can manually raise the fantastics, stop where you want it. I think you can set the max opening stop. Can't remember.
  22. on the stock Teton hydraulic jacks, you can lift up the front, drop out the drop leg or torch it off; Unbolt the top part and there is plenty of room to take it out in the bay. To replace, put the drop leg up in the hole, then the cylinder/top piece in through the bay, lower through hole lining up the drop leg. For the bigfoots, installed from the top and just attached the foot on the outside. Shannon
  23. I don't think it is the satellite, it's every-time you get an oil change or service, they use your VIN/license plate to record everything, mileage, what was done, etc., goes into the master record that is shared with all dealers and svc centers (if they participate in that service). Can't remember the name of the network. Same way carfax gets all the info when you run a report: when it was registered by whom, who inspected it, where it was serviced and when.
  24. we are in. Ambassador is calling us back in a while.
