  1. I guess you forgot about the Cutter vaccine for Polio in 1955? 40,000 people got polio from that vaccine. How about the H1N1 vaccine in Europe that they discovered was causing narcolepsy after they administered it to 650,000 people? How is it that we haven't developed a vaccine for AIDS yet? It took 10's of years to develop vaccines for HPV, Hep B, Chicken Pox, Polio and God knows how many others but we managed to cure Covid 19 in 8 months? We still do not have a fully functional Flu vaccine and you condemn others for being skeptical? It amazes me the number of people that believe that they have the right and the need to tell others how to live so they can feel better about themselves. I seem to remember a group that made Jews wear stars on their clothing so they could be identified. Now you want to tattoo the unvaccinated. Are you going to usher them into gas chambers too?
  2. Brad, what model Rand McNally??
  3. Wow, talk only about what you think needs to be discussed or go away. The cancel culture has hit the Escapees forum.
  4. The only Nextstar station I watch regularly on Dish is WGN. I won't lose any sleep picking another channel.
  5. Nope, the 2018 is gonna last for a while I was referring to the 2010. I am in the process of changing the single mud flaps to a solid one all the way across, but if that doesn't work......
  6. It is not the authorities that have issues with your truck not having fenders over the tires. It is the front and underside of your trailer. The flying road debris (sand, dirt and rocks) will sandblast the paint and gellcoat right off your trailer. After a trip to South Dakota from Texas the front of my old trailer was rock chipped like crazy and I have a full bed on my truck. The first time I notice the same on my new trailer I will be spraying color matched Rhino Liner on the front.
  7. Yes, I understand that we are NOT commercial vehicles but the Fed Regs governing the equipment required in any truck tractor that is equipped with air brakes state you must have a warning device that "gives a continuous warning to a person in the normal driving position when the ignition is in the β€œon” (β€œrun”) position and the air pressure in the service reservoir system is below 60 psi. The signal shall be either visible within the driver's forward field of view, or both audible and visible". So, if you only have one it must be visual. We let deaf people drive, we do not let blind people drive.
  8. Kevin, glad to hear the good(?) news. Take care, and hope ya heal quickly.
  9. Jay, the trailer length itself would be illegal in most states. And like you said, a "normal" size HDT and that monster would exceed the 65ft length, again, in most states. That behemoth just screams "stop me, I'm overlength".
  10. Right now it is in beta testing. Who knows what it will be when it is available to the public for purchase.
  11. Bob, I know this "probably" is poor advice but its the same as when I see someone how to winterize their trailer...... "Go south" !! To "winterize", here on the south coast, the most we usually do is fold up the lawn chairs. Stay warm.
  12. And with the trailer behind ya, its impossible to see both ends of the smart to judge the width anyway. A Volvos lower fairings and the behind the cab ones are not 102". 97"or 98" comes to mind. So my bed is narrow, that accounts for that "little" bit of overhang....the bed is not 102". Now, if you built your bed a full 102" I dont know how you'll explain the overhang. But I'm with Brad, "usually" unless you are doing something stupid...... But there are except to that rule.
  13. You forget, I speak from experience. I've seen a ton of side compartments emptied while the driver says "hang on Deputy, I know the triangles are in here somewhere". As soon as you said "commercial trailer" my whole train of thought changed πŸ˜ƒ
  14. Would inside, with its own trailer receptical work? Or too much stuff already there?
  15. Mine was mounted sideways (opening defacing out, not up) in a covered area in my bed. After it literally FILLED with water, I moved it inside the compartment. So, I agree with HEROmaker, inside is preferable.
  16. Mine didn't last either. You have to eat it there, I know someone told me rally calories don't count. If you take it home, you lose the exemption.

    Classy RV Park

Have you submitted it to the HDT campground page?
  19. In Texas the class of drivers licenses is based on the gross vehicle (or combination) weight RATING. A class C license is for any vehicle with a GVWR of less than 26,000lbs. A class B is for a single vehicle with a GVWR in excess of 26,001 lbs and it can tow a trailer with a GVWR of less than 10,000lbs. A Class A license is for a combination of vehicles with a GVWR in excess of 26,000lbs with a trailer that has a GVWR in excess of 10,000lbs. Those classes of drivers license are available in a commercial and a non-commercial license. There is no endorsement, he would need the proper class of license.
  20. I used my HDT to remove and reinstall all four trailer wheels (8 lug 17.5" wheels) last week using my Ingersoll Rand 1/2" impact. Taking the lugs off was easy, putting them back on was a bit slower, but very doable. I simply plumbed into one of the many available fitting on the tank and ran a line to a QD on my bed.
  21. Ditto And mostly from my computer, occasionally my Android tablet.
  22. Thanks, I believe I did. You stated "Verizon continues to throttle service around 20 gigs. I have heard the number is actually 22 gigs but I have not seen confirmation of that". Period. You didn't claim that it applied to "your" plan or "some plans". Well, not on the plan I had. So obviously they do not throttle "at 22gigs".
  23. Read Dutch's explanation above. If you read the details on Verizons sight it plainly says: " In times of congestion, your data may be temporarily slower than other traffic after exceeding 50GB/mo/line." That is NOT throttling.
  24. Less than 2 years ago I was running a verizon tablet and PDANet as my sole internet connection. I frequently went over 200g a month and saw no network throttling, so I have to disagree with you.
