  1. I think the thing you would have to discuss is your intended use. Are you going full time, part time or weekender/holidays? The reason we went from a MDT to a HDT years ago was to be able to handle the weight of the larger trailers and have the the extra power and braking safety that they provide. That also comes with the ability to haul jeeps/cars/SxS's/motorcycles etc and not worry about weight restrictions. Many in the group here optimize the advantage of owning a HDT. It seems to me almost anywhere you can fit a 36ft RV and HDT you usually will fit a 45ft RV and HDT.

The one other thing that isn't mentioned as much is the comfort in driving and riding in a vehicle that isn't bucking you around. My wife has neck and back problems and could only travel maybe 4hrs a day with the one ton dually but in the HDT with some very good seats a 8hr day is no problem. If, you are worried about length don't need the hauling capacity or braking ability then go with a LDT and shorter trailer. Back to the intended use and maybe future plans as a HDT is a great way to future proof maybe going to a larger RV.

  2. It was so nice meeting you and Mary at the WCR a few years ago. Carey says to pass on a hello to Mary.

When we were in your trailer we had commented that it was one of the nicest we had seen. Have fun fishing out there.

    Your Canadian friends.

  3. We had a Canadian 450 diesel that was a great little car...very good fuel mileage. We then ordered a new 2017 Brabus full load and it has been great. Much faster car and much better shifting dual clutch 6 speed auto transmission. Also, the large touch screen+JBL audio system with Apple car play and Android auto work well. If you can I'd go with the 2016/17 gas turbo if you can find one.

  4. Glad everyone had a great time and we sure missed being there this year because of the border closure again! Some pictures would be great to see...but no hurry I know how hard Chad works to put on the WCR and probably needs a well deserved break. Thanks for all you hard work over the years Chad much appreciated.

  5. Well unfortunately I had to cancel our reservation as the USA/Canada border is still closed so will miss seeing all our America friends again this summer. ☹️ Hope everyone has a great time at the rally we sure are bummed about not being able to attend.

  6. Hi Rod,
I have always had a 1 ton-dually 4x4 but sold it this year. I park at a storage lot that has very soft ground and is grass that the Volvo does not like when a little wet. I purchased these this year and used them last week. Couldn't believe how well they worked. I have road side assistance but sometimes it is just faster to do it yourself or are to far away to even have service to call. I was stuck spinning all rear wheels (have air locker) and put them on and idled away to dryer ground and then stowed them away in the storage bin.
