  1. Are you in freezing temperatures? If so check the tanks for moisture and service the air dryer.
  2. Lose the [IMG] on both ends of your link
  3. I think vacationer will be okay. We’ve conversed off line and I think the biggest problem is terminology. If you say heavy duty truck or class 8 you get an immediate no. Say motorhome and at least they will listen.

    new to me truck

One thing I’ve been doing to mine is spraying Krown or Rust Check into the drain holes in the bottom of the doors. The rust hasn’t got any worse since I started spraying about 8 years ago. Nigel
  5. What are they doing for $900? Last company I worked for required a pretty complete documented inspection every 30,000 km (18,000 miles) by a licensed mechanic. The truck lube place will do oil and all filters for much less but they are not checking brakes, tires, steering, belts and hoses etc. I think a good inspection is going to take an hour and a half to two hours. The price may not be as outrageous as you think. Nigel
  6. This question comes up from time to time. Carl posted a photo in this link and is similar to what many of us have done. https://www.rvnetwork.com/topic/145361-trailer-hitch-camera-mount/#comment-1082847 Nigel

    Discount Ramps

Big Boy II Aluminum Hybrid End Folding Smart Car Trailer Ramps - 2,000 lb. Capacity (wow the price has really gone up) Also https://rvh-lifestyles.com/ make their own I believe so check them for a price also.
  8. Even try Kenworth etc if there is another brand dealer closer.
  9. Try locking the doors with the key and then unlocking with the key. I believe there is some anti theft system in mine but it fails to cranks so seldom I’ve never really figured out how it works. Also if you have a second key try that. Just an uneducated guess Nigel

    Resource Guide

Carl I can’t open that presentation fron the guide either. But, you have it posted in the 2019 ECR page. Here is a link https://eastcoasthdtrally.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/50-AMP-OUTLET-TESTER.pdf Nigel
  12. My guess, air over hydraulic brake system for the trailer. Nigel
  13. Also shops that repair tarps for the trucking industry. Nigel
  14. You have to respect Carl’s position as a medical professional. If he says come to the ECR and someone loses their life from Covid exposure, it would haunt him forever. Follow the science not the politics. Nigel
  15. Shortly after I made this post 5 years ago my oil leak was repaired with this Volvo kit. I just did a search with Volvo and the part number and the current price is a little more than $300 plus labor. Nigel I found out recently there is a repair harness for the Volvo VED 12. The Volvo number is 21625276. My mechanic has done one and it took him most of a day. The wires are all the same colour (white) on the kit. I believe he used an ohm meter to figure out which is which. It looks like you can get it in the US for under $300.
  16. Hopefully GeorgiaHybrid will chime in, I know nothing about Georgia. One thing you said to the revenue dept. is you were using it to tow. I suspect you want to tell them it is a motor home and say no more. Nigel
  17. I think it was the dealer in Sault St Marie that had several when I was looking for a 430. Somebody up there had a fleet that they were trading in, all heavy spec trucks though. Nigel
  18. Also on the gen 2 you can only erase inactive codes and you may need a password. On my truck the password is 0000. I suspect that was the factory default. Nigel
  19. On the gen 2 once you have the code on the screen you hold the select(enter) button for a couple of seconds to erase the code. Here is a link for the owners manual from the resource guide. I’m not reading it but it looks like you should start around page 120 for operation of the buttons and screen. http://www.hhrvresource.com/sites/default/files/dfiles/VNL_Op_2000_PV776_TSP20154796_lores.pdf
  20. I don’t know what David is doing for the first generation headlights but I did have a ballast go bad on one of mine. I think David had me remove both headlight assemblies and plug them in on the opposite side to confirm the problem was inside the assembly. I had already changed the bulbs left and right like you have. Nigel
  21. To mount the draw bar like you want Robert you may need some bolts like this. https://smartmadness.com/?route=product%2Fsearch&search=Bumper+bolts The tow eyes are an uncommon thread but some of the bike racks were mounted that way so you may already have the bolts. Others have pulled from a trailer hitch also. Nigel
