  1. I had a friend that had a seal on a turbo go bad. I don't know how common it is but he told me the engine could not be turned off. He told me the engine was running wide open running on the engine oil coming out of the turbo. The engine came apart and was destroyed.
  2. I had a bad torque bar, the back of the truck felt like I was on ice. truck would sway from side to side going down the road. It was something I put up with for several years. Each year the truck passed inspection, I thought it was something I had to live with. I changed repair shops and the new shop caught it right away. What a difference that made, night and day. It sounds like you're on the right track.
  3. It's been about five years since I have been in here. My world was shattered by the loss of my wife Susan to cancer. We dated in high school and got married soon after we graduated. We were married for 39 wonderful years. I was blessed to find love again, a woman that lost her husband of 30 years. Donna my new wife helped me rise up from the ashes. So much has changed I never saw it coming. Love the people in your life, because tomorrow is not guaranteed. Show your love. Because when I lost Sue, I looked at this big truck and fifth wheel and said (what the hell good Is this) I had no one to share it with, it was just stuff. Donna saved me in so many ways. Two broken people can fix each other. We're both enjoying the truck and camper. Donna did not replace Sue, she just picked up where Sue left off. None of this was easy I lived in some very dark times. I slept in the cemetery in my car. Alone sucks. So that's where I have been for five years. 20180629_123854.mp4
  4. Were at Red Rock Ponds in Holly New York, this weekend. First time at this place, its very nice here.
  5. Were at Golden Hill State park in western New York by Lake Ontario, I'm resting up after getting out of the hospital. Turns out I had two pulmonary embolisms that came close to doing me in a month ago, I had a sore leg and thought I pulled a muscle. I took a trip on an airplane and the clot in my leg broke up and part stayed in the leg the other two parts went one to each lung. I guess the clot in my right lung is big. Now Im on blood thinners and was told to stay off the cycles for the summer by the doctor and my wife. Guess I'm lucky to be here so not riding for this year will be no big deal... So were just kicking back here..
  6. Hi how are you doing? Just wanted to ask you a quick question about the day cab 8600 you drive. Does it have exhaust brakeing on it? What do you find works best for real steep hills? My 8500 International has the HT530 with 10 speed and no exhaust breaking. Im leaving tomorrow on vacation and in two days I will be in the mountians, all Im thinking about are using low gears... Any advice? Thanks
