  1. Unfortunately Comcast is also xfinity and a few others. We purchased our s&b in May. Since Verizon does not have the best signal here we went with xfinity of tv and internet. Internet speeds is up to 350 mb/sec. this is after a router update. I have no issues with their service and the tech I talked to last week about upgrading my service was very honest. He told me not to bother as I wouldn’t gain anything. With tv on mostly all day ( we have a 2 yo granddaughter living with us), SIL doing collage courses on line, daughter doing online medical clinic 2 days per week and me on the internet a lot, we haven’t even gotten close to our limit. The closest was a little over 800 in one month. 1.2 tub is a lot for a residential user. You would have a hard time using that consistently unless you were running an internet related business.

  2. You should already have 1.2tb cap. The first month you go over is free. It will restart the free month after 12 months unless you go over again in less than 12 months. It will cost you $10 per every 50gb up to $100 a month. You can add unlimited to your plan for $30 if you own your own equipment or for a total of $35 if you rent their equipment, this includes the equipment fee.

  3. If you already have the silver leaf I wouldn’t change. If you are comfortable with the software then why change. If you like to play, you can download this device and see if it will work with silver leaf. It might benefit some people that are having trouble with their gauges.

  4. Review the device. There are several models. Since my truck has a 6 and a 9 plug port I purchased the 9 plug model in green that uses IOS, Android and Windows 10. I needed a Y cable and since my port is black I had to use a black Y. The green will work on a black port but the black won’t work on a green port. There is 1 pin on the green that is larger. This makes me compatible with all 9 pin ports. I can even use another cable to mate it to the 6 pin. It is very adaptable. Just make sure you have the correct combination. It works great on the Y with another device such as a Tucson brake controller.

  5. Yes. iOS, Android and windows 10. You need to buy the proper device. One is comparable with all three but others are not. You also need to have the correct plug. If you nerd a Y cord, it needs to match the color of your plug. A green cord wont plug into a grey connector. I found out the hard way.

  6. Once you get it hooked up, go to repair. It will show you everything it can monitor. There are lots that the computer monitors that we don’t have gauges for. I doubt if anyone has a load or torque gauge. To get a dashboard, it is probably best to download one and then modify it to fit your needs. I don’t need to monitor every little detail. I still have work to do. I took screen shots of the repair page so I can make changes that will work.

  7. I have no negative input. I did have to figure out how to manipulate the gauges. Once you do it is easy. They have a forum and will answer questions pretty quick. The map is more of a placeholder right now. It doesn’t track your position. They have several different devices depending on your operating system and how many pins your connector has. Available on amazon.

  8. I have the blue one. I purchased a socket that fit the square drive and used a ratchet. I only loosened them enough to use my cordless impact wrench. I was able to use a torque wrench on the input shaft with the socket and torque them down.

  9. So I bought a BlueFire device that plugs into the diagnostic port. I also bought a Y cable so my trailer brake would still work. You download a program for your dashboard. I really like it. I was able to improve my mpg by monitoring my load and torque. It also tracks my fuel used. I could have made it from Reno to Albuquerque on one tank with some left over but wanted to fill up in hollbrook at the maverick. They have rv pumps at the truck island and it is a little cheaper. Arizona finally decide that we could fill up at rv pumps without penalty. Here is a screenshot of my dashboard.

Abandoning the interior valves in favor of adding exterior valves may bite you later.  Sometimes you can't avoid being in freezing weather.  A few years ago, we were headed south and ran into freezing rain on I-10 between NOLA and Houston.  We were lucky to duck into a campground just before they closed the interstate, and had two mornings with temps in the teens.

There are reasons those valves are buried......

We have been down to the teens without much issue. When the pipes have frozen I put a space heater .on them and it thaws it out. I also make sure my tanks are empty going into a low temp event so I have a few days to go. So fat it has always risen to about he 40’s after a freeze.
