No help here but I recently replaced a thumb joystick on my grandson's video game controller and it needed a triangle driver.

I've had the same issue. I tried tying down the ends with ratchet straps and ended up bending one arm just like Chalkie mentioned. I bent it back and beefed it up with a 18" L x 1/2" W x 1/8" flatbar riveted in 6 places. It's held up for 3 yrs so far. Now I have a privacy screen, the kind where part of it slides into a groove on the roller and the other part zips on. I have the bottom of the screen held down with small bungy cords. It still bounces but not as much. Mine also was all herky-jerky extending and retracting until I polished the strut shafts with steel wool and sprayed them with dry lube.

"Some" cheap microwaves, the magnetron uses more amps to supply the same watts. For example, I replaced a dieing microwave with a cheap one. The original unit was 1100W. The replacement unit was 900W. The 900W unit kept tripping the 15 amp (sticks and bricks house) breaker. Replaced it with a "better" microwave at 1100W and had no problems.

I ordered our 5er without an OEM ladder so definitely needed a way to get on the roof. I opted for a telescoping ladder because it didn't take up much room in the basement.

Do this first. I've read many posts on the internet of AC units not cooling properly and many times it was this divider board that separates the intake air from the discharge air. The factory doesn't install it properly and it becomes dislodged. My main AC is ducted but I open the vents on the ceiling cover to let more air directly in the living room. I'm in Sun City, AZ where temps have been in the triple digits. It takes both the main and bedroom AC but can easily maintain 78-80 degs.

I tease my daughter that she will have to take care of me when I get "old". In reality, I have no intention of burdening her with my care. I was fortunate to be able to purchase a policy to cover my future care, if needed. Life is tough enough these days and I don't intend to be a burden.

Yes. I went through FCIS. They got my insurance through Progressive. No complaints.

Luckily I jumped on the AT&T Mobley when it was first offered. I got it to be a backup to our Verizon JetPack. It has since become our main source of MiFi and the JetPack is the backup.

As for MiFi units. The Netgear Nighthawk M2 can be plugged into it's AC charger with the battery removed. So no chance of a battery failure from over charging.

If you buy used, DEFINITELY hire an inspector. Our first rv looked great, no sign of any problems ( to our inexperienced eyes) inside or out. Later, when addressing a different problem we found significant wood rot in the wall framing in the bedroom slide and front corner of the 5th wheel. Regardless of new or used I would recommend an EMS to protect against bad campground power. We didn't at first and it cost us over $2K in damaged electronics, ie: TV, stereo, converter, etc. We have a Progressive Dynamics hardwired unit, but there are other options. As others have said, it depends on what lifestyle you expect. For us, having TV and good cell signal are important. We have satellite TV and a signal booster for our cell service and MIFI through two different providers to be sure we, usually, have a good signal.

We stayed at Catalina State Park last year. Liked it. Hiking trails. Shopping just a few miles away.

Currently have 2 years full-time in an AF 35-5Z. Aside from industry wide construction issues you'll find in any rv these days ours has not had any major issues. I chose AF mainly because they build their own frames. ie: not Lippert.

Ok, I didn't read all the posts. 1. new batteries. 2. depending on how old the rv you buy, you may be looking at new tires. 3. EMS. Electrical Management System. Protects your rv from bad campground power. 4. Water filter and pressure regulator. The list can go on, and on, and on.

Sent an email on 5/3. Called customer service on 5/6 and got absolutely no help, so, in desperation, I mailed the paperwork on 5/8.

Just received an email stating my account has been converted to a mobile account and I still get both E and W feeds. Yea!

No update on my DNS yet, but I did notice on my last two bills they changed the number of TVs I have from 2 to 3. I still only have 2. I have a Genie 2 and two Genie mInis. The CSR kept saying I was being charged for 3 "receivers" when the bill clearly says "TVs". I tried talking to a "supervisor" and got the same canned response so I asked to speak to the retention department. Still getting charged for 3 TVs, but for the next 12 months I'm getting $55 knocked off my bill.

How long did you wait before getting an email reply?

I called DTV. CSR didn't have a clue and told me to just ignore the letter!! Yeah, right. I tried the email address and haven't gotten a reply yet. I'm going to try calling early in the morning, in hopes of getting an English speaking CSR. After that I'm going to just fill out the paper work hope for the best.

I just received the notice via snail mail since DTV somehow lost my email address a few months ago. Their wording is a bit confusing, ie: "....receiver is located in, this vehicle (which is a MOTOR VEHICLE or commercial truck.....). We have a 5th wheel. And then....Application for a New or Existing Vehicle Account...Our account has always been an RV account. And.....Physical address....Don't have one.. We're full time. We have both East/West DNS. Hoping not to lose it. Guess I'll have to call.

I agree with looking to rent a mobile home. It will be much more comfortable. I would first try to find a job and then housing. You can look for short term housing like Extended Stay America motels. Bellingham and north should be more reasonable than Seattle area, and closer to your parents. Your job and commute will dictate where you should look for housing. I-5 commute can be brutal, depending on which direction you are heading. As an example, evening rush hour traffic near Everett starts around 2:45pm (Boeing) and extends to 7pm. My daughter lives in North Seattle area and works in Everett, so she is heading opposite of heaviest rush hour traffic.

So, color me skeptical. Major players sell stock while prices are high. Then report a major data breach. Then offer paltry, one year ID monitoring. Be interesting to see who buys Equifax stock at a discounted price. And, see how many "customers" receive upsell emails to continue Id monitoring/protection. I don't disbelieve that there was, possibly, a data breach, but I'm watching how they are going to turn this into a "positive" for them financially, while we all get royally "massaged".
