Anyone in this group needing a full time rig? Price has been reduced...

That sounds like a fantastic place Kirk - sadly after living in the west for too long, we can't handle humidity any longer. Our average humidity is generally less than 20%. When it gets to 37%, I start "suffering"! If I could handle the humidity, I'd be very interested in that place. We're going to stick with Colorado. Moved from TX back in 1999, and tried a couple of years to re-adjust to TX, but the body just isn't going along with it

Hello and good bye. We were in the 2012 starting our venture, but we'll be in the class of 2017 for ending it. Health issues are telling us to get off the road and settle back down in a sticks and bricks again. But living in appr 400 sf for 5 years really changes one's taste for a house! Seems everything we look at is 1600+ sf and we feel like we might have to leave breadcrumb trails to find each other! But as we say goodbye to the road, we wish each and every one of you continued safe travels and many more happy days on the road. Sharon

Can't speak for Colorado Springs, but Buena Vista (only 2 hours from the Springs) has been around 77 the last few days. Did have a couple of days in the low 80's early last week. Just to be ornery! (evil laugh)...

Susan, Sadly, no fishing has happened yet Too much driving and lousy weather so far. Likely won't be fishing here in TX, but we have some good quality time scheduled for GA fishing, both before and after the Disney World visit! Hey, we're going to be in Austin for a couple of days, let's try and get together for lunch or dinner? Unless you're too slammed with work that is. We'll take this back up with emails for details. And yes, autoshift is the bomb! Only way this wimp would even try driving one of these big boys! Sharon

Alie, I would love to answer your question, but ours is a kinda unique situation. Hubby drives the Freightliner and 5er, and I drive the van and boat (it's the "cat and boat toter"! I'm sure some of the gals will chime in from facebook. I don't do facebook though. Keep driving! Sharon

Shoot - sure going to miss being there this year. I send cyber hugs to you all, and Davena, a special hug to you that's big enough for you and your precious mom. You're so blessed to still have her! Took care of my Alzheimer's mom in our home for 3 years till she broke her hip and had to go to the nursing home for rehab (and her own safety by then honestly). Two years later, another fall, the other hip, and 2 weeks after she got back to the nursing home, a major stroke. Two days later, she's with her Heavenly Father - waiting on Richard and I to join her. I know you already do - but enjoy every day with her like it's her last one on Earth! Alicia - thanks for the kudos on the house selling - sure are enjoying "being homeless"! Heidi, give a special hug to those precious little people - we sure will miss seeing them and how much they've grown up since we last saw them. Gail (and Steve) - so terribly sorry for your loss. Losing my mom was the worst thing that's happened to me so far. After 3+ years, I still miss her terribly - but coped with the loss a bit by reliving so very often, the funny and warm memories of things she said and did. No words can make the loss better, but you still have her in your hearts, and no one can take that away from you. Cherish those memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Hugs, Sharon

It’s DONE!!! Emancipation day has come! We are officially “homeless” and MORTGAGE FREE!!!!! Feel like a lead weight has been lifted! We were going to do the mortgage burning ceremony today, but decided we’ll save that for our anniversary. It’s a nice “gift” to each other! Seems like a nice "add on" for the anniversary huh? Thank you all for your prayers helping to make the 7 year quest to get it sold. Ok, now for something truly LIGHT and FUNNY! Heidi reminded me that I haven't posted an update on my shoulder in quite a while (well, actually at all... blush). So here it is for all your wonderful prayer warriors - and I thank each and every one of you for your prayers - they've been felt and answered! So it's been one month to the day since surgery, it's healing well, range of motion is better than expected, though the physical therapist isn't really excited about that since I'm not supposed to be moving it enough to know, that it's better - much less using it enough to GET it better! Two more weeks in the sling, then I can start more aggressive (well, less passive anyway) therapy. Again, thank you all for your prayers, and I'm sorry I've been stinky bad at emailing lately! One more prayer request though... The closing for the house sale is tomorrow. We feel confident that it's going to go thru without a hitch, but prayers for this would be appreciated! Hopefully all will go as it should, and I can post that we are done with it all after tomorrow. Have a blessed day ladies - and safe travels for those on the road! Sharon

Yesterday evening, we got an offer on the house! Richard explained that we've already taken it down as low as possible, but came down $4k anyway for a counter offer to make it go away. The realtor said she'd talk to the clients and call us in the morning. This morning, she called to let us know they accepted the counter offer and are not haggling any further! Though it's contingent on the sale of their place, the realtor is pretty confident that theirs will go thru without a hitch since it's an investor buying theirs for a rental. So, the closing isn't until 7-7-14, and though I'm confident, it still "could" fall thru. Thank you all for your prayers! So please alter the prayers from "please sell the house" to "please keep everything on track and let it complete successfully" would you? We're so excited! We came in just under the wire for 6 years on the market - didn't quite make it - awww shucks!! So we lived in the house 7 years to the day, then moved out, and the closing is on the 7th day of the 7th month - funny huh? Doin' the happy dance

Thanks to all of you sweethearts for putting me and my shoulder on the prayer list. Donna, hubby had the same kind of set up with the ice machine on his several years ago, but I am still kind of nervous about that because when I do ice, what usually happens is that the cold makes my muscles kind of knot up. But it may be my best answer anyway since almost every pain medication I've tried has too many side effects for me - I have a very low tolerance to drugs. Never would have made a good street junkie I guess!! Love hearing of everyone's travels - we shall live vicariously this summer! Still have lots of stuff to sell and get rid of (darn those hobbies that got out of control so many years ago!!). Susan, if you're going to be in the Springs for another 2 weeks, want to see if we can get together there for lunch or something before my surgery? We could make it a Costco trip and enjoy lunch with some great folks...? If you don't have time, I understand. Just thought if you're available... Unless you've never been to our part of the mountains and want to see them... So you're going to be able to work in YNP this year instead of Austin? That will be a very nice change!! Wow, lots of great trips going on in this bunch right now! Susan, I have the shoulder surgery for the torn rotator cuff on 6-6. I'm a bit nervous about it because I don't do well with pain in general since there aren't pain meds that work on me that I can handle. So the after surgery pain is going to be not fun! Plus I've had a bad experience in the past with anesthesia - so again, not looking forward to it. I will happily appreciate any prayers you ladies (or guys) are willing to share with me! So Alaska and Yellowstone for you lucky travelers....!?! Beats working on selling the house and cleaning out the last storage unit (IF I can actually sell it all this summer while recuperating)! Guess what? Richard has finally gotten "on board" with the solar thing! With the fact that we now have a residential fridge, and the frequent power outages we had this (and last) winter - it makes keeping the food safe more challenging. Plus having lights to read by and such would be nice when we're without power for up to 2 days...! So that's his first project when we get home next week. Hopefully he can get it done before surgery time, but we'll see...
