  1. In contact with Vern. He's crawling over the pallets of parts, looking for treasure. He reports many new parts, still in boxes, with part numbers. Even found a Volvo wire harness, but I don't have the part numbers for it. Anyone looking for truck parts or a project truck should be hitting the auction website.

I've got a thousand dollars worth of Dynamat and Dynapad sitting in the cab of the truck waiting from some motivation and warm weather.  I'm going to do a DB test before and after and see if it makes much difference.  Doing the doors and floor.  Also going to add a muffler to my weed burner exhaust in an effort to quiet things down a bit.

Prepare to totally underwhelmed by the metered difference, but blown away by the perceived difference. The product works, but it's hard to measure.

Good price! I wish I could use it, but my J-port under the MH dash hasn't worked since I bought the MH. Cummins Great Plains said it would cost over $1,000 to trace the wiring back to the ECM to locate the problem, so I forgot about it.

Ray, you should also have a connector down by the ECM. Not as convenient for in action viewing, but good for checking Check Engine Lights.

    Ray,

Can you tell me exactly what feature this is, and where it's located.  I was under the impression that the only Cummins engines with this feature are in the industrial line, not automotive.

Almost any engine series with an ECM strapped to it. ISB, ISC, M11, N14 all come to mind.

I was testing posting pictures, but couldn't find a way to delete the post.

Only an Admin can delete. Best you can do is let it sit idle, until it fades into obscurity. It'll never disappear completely, but it'll fade.

Pure interweb magic. For some reason, it's pasting the imgur address multiple times. By stripping from the https to the jpg, I get this:FVRlnEG.jpg

  7. Back to your myth, try watching the Coquihalla circus spectacular, and not cringe every time someone says, "His power is going to the front axle, so that's what's chained up" while the rear axle spins, and the truck sits. Helps perpetuate the dumb.
