Hi I am confessing before I get in trouble. I thought that to go somewhere in an RV the law was. It was up-hill and into the wind.(right or wrong?) For the last two days the wind was to our back and from Cloudcroft, NM to Lakewood it is down hill. 5000 ft down in 100 miles.LOL Good to be back at Lakewood. Three weeks and we go again. Now moss on the wheels. glyn

Wind started here about 10 am and lasted until dark 30. Nice this morning. (26 deg.) We are heading to "The Ranch" today. It will take two days to get there. We are in Naco, Az. Good Dentist on the other side of the fence. We will stay tonight in Las Crusis, NM. then to (our winter home). I know D has been posting, but I will chip in and say "Great to meet everone at Q". Thanks for the update on your weather at North Ranch. Here at the fairgrounds in Tuscon Tom and Dianne got an early start out before the bad weather hit here. Started out this morning at 48 and now down to 35. Glyn, of course, had someone to meet at the TTT ten miles closer to town so I hope he is enjoying being stuck at the truck stop with all the other drivers. At one o'clock now just snow falling,oohhh,ahhhh how pretty. I left Alaska to get out of this stuff. Well at least I won't have to shovel this as Ranger reminds me it will be gone soon. Right? Hope everyone else is safe and warm until this is over around here. Diane

Tom and Dianne, Glyn and I leave Q on Monday headed to the fairgrounds too. Then Costco for a fill up. This gives you plenty of notice so you can hide before we get there. LOL. we'll look you up when we get settled. Have you found a place for everything yet? See you soon D and Pa too.

Had a great potluck dinner last night with Mike & Deb, Tom & Dianne, Glyn & Diane. Tom & Dianne let us eat inside their new rig and we had a great visit. ( Glyn only dropped one spoon and only spilled on his own shirt) Just can't take him anywhere indoors.LOL But on Wed. we will be heading to Yuma and across the border to visit that dentist to have our teeth cleaned and visit the prison. Which Casino do you all recommend we spend the night at....best parking or best food doesn't matter to us. Hope to see you all again soon. D & Pa

I noticed this large rig backing up to my rear window and blocking all the sunshine and when I looked out I saw this familar looking truck in the street, Hey, I know who that is....and the rig next to us was next to us at The Ranch back in Feb. and a couple at the laundry were just at The Ranch last month. It's nice to meet new friends but just a nice to meet up with old friends out here. We had such a great time in Q with this group and it's fun to see how our paths criss/cross around the country throughout the year. Maybe we can find a spot for a campfire around here somewhere. Who's turn is it to start the fire since Jim's not here????

Thanks to everyone for the fun week we had our first time in Q. Next year we will be more prepared with firewood and libation. We will also remember to park a little further away from the sand and more on the rocks just in case it rains again. We did not wash away but it was touch and go for awhile as we sank lower and lower into that sand. We did get to boondock two weeks straight without having to dump or move and that was great. We will do better at keeping our pin on the map. Safe travels to you all and thanks again for a great time out here. Diane & Glyn

Wanderin Please leave name and location of that bad RV repair shop, so we can all avoid them. Sandsys This will be our first time to Q. Like you there is several groups to see. Not sure how to find any of them. I posted our list of "To see" a while back. Not knowing our way around, I am sure it will be fun finding them. I don't use GPS (to lost, to many dead-ends). We are planning in jello to be there the19 to 27 Jan. All help excepted with a smile. There is some people from "The Ranch" going to be there so maybe we can get help finding where we are going. Cookone01 Welcome I don't post much, but you and David sound like fun people. D and I will be in Kerrville, Tx. for Thanksgiving. Hondo is not far away. If you are there then let us know and we will meet. We have a lot at Lakewood, NM., but talked about Hondo ( both are SKP CO-OP) We are crazy just like IYQ said. PA and D

We are back at Warren Bridge BLM campground. Weather is nice here. 37 last night and 70 today. We are not having fires here. The air is clear and refreshing. We are half way between I-80 and Yellowstone NP. I haven't moved our pen, because I got a new computer and didn't get all the info. changed over. We only get email when we go to town (every two weeks) or ride our bike's across the road and up the hill.

Coldsmoke To bad about your SKP park experiences. I will check with the Manager later, but here at "The Ranch" in Lakewood NM. They have a large trailer storage lot. The spaces are 60 x 50 set at a angle so they are easy to get into. As for as weight there is 3 MDT's here. Mine weighs 18,000# and the rig is 66' long. When we showed up it was all smiles and hugs. We are a days drive from El Paso, come see us and the cave too. Good luck Safe travels

We got to "The Ranch" at Lakewood NM about 3 pm yeaterday. Had a great "Happy hour". We will say "hi" to anyone for anyone. We are thinking of staying one month here. I would like to be in "Q" but to far to walk. Freddie and Delice: We stayed a couple of day in Paducah two week back. That place sure has dryed up. we are talking of putting up a pole barn to park under. See you down the road. safe travel
